Hello @Phoenix_Rising
That is big news with your first appointment tomorrow, it seems like you have done all you can to be prepared for that and can understand the worry you have with begining that new process, well done on getting to this point. I hear you and we are with you through this, I even got you a log to keep afloat on until the storm passes and might help you to feel the warm sun on your shell and breathe in the fresh air when the storm starts to settle.

I can hear the muddle @Phoenix_Rising...is there anything that you feel will help with this today or is it more of a floaty day? I'm happy to float around in the ocean with you if that is what you need today...I'll leave these here too just in case we need them

@Former-Member @Former-Member There has been a development with therapist-take-eleven. It was almost two hours ago and I am trying and trying and trying to regulate but I am super struggling.

Here with you @Phoenix_Rising
I too had a change of psych's last year and more recently a new psychiatrist in April this year. After five years with a psychologist he told me he couldn't help me anymore, so out of the blue, he just came out and told me. Well of course you can imagine how I felt. So i had to find a new therapist. i did find someone else and it was very difficult going into a new place, speaking to someone new and starting again. i felt like i had to rehash the whole story again from scratch. and i had to relive it again. but the psychologist was really good and didn't want to stir things too much.
Changing psych's in april was my choice and that was difficult too.
I think go in tomorrow thinking that this new one is nervous too just like you. If he/she reads your notes that ou have sent fine but if they haven't and they may not have time to do that; well that's okay. Just givde them the basic story and not go into detail. And tell them, tell them you can't go into the details of your story in the first session. I am sure they will understand. And they will know that you will be nervous as it's your first session.
I am thinking of you right as you are struggling, i wish there was something i could do for you.
Sending you a big warm hug, love your friend

Thanks for your response @BlueBay. The psychologist has read my document and she responded about two hours ago. Let's just say her response has not enhanced my confidence in her.
Therapist shopping is such a nightmare. It is utterly absurd that this will be the eleventh therapist I've seen in 18 months. It just shouldn't be this damn difficult. I am still hoping that she will be a good match, but I'm not exactly holding my breath.
