Re: Riding a wave

and you still have a 100% success rate @Phoenix_Rising Smiley Happy

We will ride the waves with you anytime little turtle and keep your corner clean and free when you need it. Heart

It is so nice to have found a place that you can just be you and know that we are all with you. You also make me smile and sometimes laugh uncontrollably and that is so much appreciated from you.

I hope you have some light in your day today and hooray for the wave settling...

Re: Riding a wave

Glad the swell settled. Actually @Phoenix_Rising its been 35 years since I rode the waves, doing it here and now kind of gives me a rush of nostalgia.  Thanks. Yes and it is better with company.Woman Happy

Re: Riding a wave

Heya @Phoenix_Rising!

I'm sorry I missed you last Friday, and that I couldn't ride waves with you. I was dragging myself to the finish line come 5pm Friday last week as I had a horrendous cold.

How are you doing?

I'll be around tomorrow and Friday night. Hope we can hang out in the Feast.

Re: Riding a wave

Hi @CherryBomb,

Awwwww, super big thank you for checking in. I am really struggling with what happened on Thursday at my neurofeedback session, but I'm hanging out with @CheerBear and some others in her nest and that is helping. Did you read about my adventure on my neurofeedback thread? How can stuff like that happen, @CherryBomb??? I'm now in limbo with the situation. W (intern psych. who does the neurofeedback) was supposed to let A (my psychologist) know what the plan forward was so that A and I could deal with it in Monday's session. But he didn't get back to her and I can't cope with dealing with any negative fallout at home by myself, so when I left A on Monday, the plan was that she will connect with W sometime and then A and I will discuss it next Monday. This means I will miss this week's neurofeedback session and I am just sitting in limbo feeling super yuck. However, as I mentioned to CheerBear earlier, my brain simply doesn't have the space to cope with this totally unexpected turn of events and thus I feel dissociated rather than actually distressed.

Super big thank you for caring about me @CherryBomb. I hope you feel better now.  Smiley Happy

Re: Riding a wave

Aw @Phoenix_Rising, I'm so bothered and disappointed to hear about what happened! I don't know how these things happen. I wish I could I had some answers. Maybe sometimes people just don't get other people's struggles, particularly if they have not had many struggles in their life time.

I'm sorry you've had to go through this. I'm about to head off now, but maybe we can flap around the ocean later this week. Smiley Happy

Re: Riding a wave

...and here we are again. I have been having a nice day. And now I've just got the following email from my psychologist:

"Hi Phoenix_Rising,

I hope your Friday is going well. Our next appointment will be discussing the neurofeedback situation, and since this is likely to be triggering, I suggest we do this via a phone session. Please le me know your thoughts."

IN WHAT UNIVERSE IS IT A GOOD IDEA TO SEND ME THIS EMAIL AT 3PM ON A FRIDAY. THE PLAN WAS THAT NO ONE WOULD CONTACT RE. THE NEUROFEEDBACK SITUATION BECAUSE I HAVE ZERO SUPPORT HERE AT HOME TO DEAL WITH A MUDDLE. I WAS GOING OK. I WAS PUTTING THE SITUATION OUT OF MY BRAIN UNTIL I SEE (A) ON MONDAY. WHAT COULD POSSIBLY, POSSIBLY HAVE GONE THROUGH HER HEAD TO THINK IT WAS A BRIGHT IDEA TO TELL ME ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON THAT MONDAY'S SESSION IS GOING TO BE TRIGGERING BECAUSE OF THIS SITUATION. IN WHAT UNIVERSE IS THAT HELPFUL???? I WAS COPING JUST FINE AND NOW ONCE AGAIN, I'M REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY NOT!!!!!!!!!!

I have emailed A asking her to contact urgently ASAP, but I have no idea if she will. I WAS COPING OK. I was using all my skills to put this muddle out of my mind until Monday. Now what the hell am I supposed to do?????

I can't win. I simply cannot win. This is the psychologist who is supposed to "get" me. This is the psychologist that I feel is in my corner. This is the psychologist I am looking to, to help me. What possible thought process could she have gone through to think that it was a good idea to send me this email on a Friday afternoon knowing that I don't have a single person to turn to until I see her on Monday morning. I can't win! I just can't damn win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
