Re: Not Coping

Yes deep breaths @ENKELI

Eh, I'm here I guess.

No nothing planned. I should go to the gym.

The bath sounds nice I wish I had one.

Re: Not Coping

Post about yesterday??? @Birdofparadise8  Which part? Psych? Your meds? You aunt and uncle?

Re: Not Coping

Psych and how I have a block @tyme

What do you think?

Did you understand what I was meaning? With how I would talk about something painful but then if he asked how I feel about it now I would say I don't fee anything.

Re: Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8 the gym sounds good. I can't wait for the local aquatic centre & gym to reopen, it's not far from where I live.

My bath tub is full of plants at the moment, they were starting to wilt in the heat. Oh and the cat...!Gypsy.jpg

Re: Not Coping

Oh, is that what you mean by 'a block'! No I get it. I think it's a protective response. I can relate to it because I would end up mute in sessions because I really didn't know what to say. That's how MBT helped me.

From what I remember, when people asked me things, I'd shrug, have my head down and not say a single thing. The more they asked, the less I spoke. I still have a piece of paper one of my therapist wrote out because I could not make myself look up. I just took the note, read it and left. Sometimes, I'd be crying too...

Is that what you mean?

Re: Not Coping

Aww @ENKELI

Re: Not Coping

I do talk in the session. I am quite open about things happening. It's just when we talk about emotions and being vulnerable.

I don't cry. I can't cry in session. @tyme

Re: Not Coping

What is MBT @tyme

What do you think of ACT?

Re: Not Coping

Mentalisation based therapy. I did just over 18 months of it , Over 3 hours per week.

ACT is absolutely marvellous if you know how to apply it.

Re: Not Coping

I don't have time for three hours of therapy each week. I also don't have BPD.

I'll ask my psych what he thinks.

What do you mean by that? How do you know if you can apply it? @tyme
