Hey @Jynx
Did you end up making the salad?
Hi @creative_writer @outlander @Shaz51 @Kyle1
How has everyone’s day been.

@Birdofparadise8 Nah not yet, I've been having a flare up of my LPR (aka silent reflux) so I've gotta have really bland food for a lil while, so I've saved the recipe for later! Gonna make myself a good ol' fashioned chicken soup instead haha.
How was your day, did you go for a nice walk yet?

No it’s been pouring with rain.
Your in Vic right? Have you not been outside @Jynx?
I was going to go to a cookie shop in Northcote but the eating part of my brain won’t let me. So I went to the shop to get some strawberries and some rolls instead. I went around looking for something sweet but I couldn’t justify it. I’m trying to not cry lol. My brain is fucked. Im fucked.

@Birdofparadise8 The words we use create our world hun. Do you think there's another way you could frame/phrase that, but with more self-compssion? It's rough to have such intense thoughts around wanting to treat yourself, I have 100% been there before. You don't deserve such strong words to be said about yourself when struggling with this though.
As for the rain - yeah I totally went out in it! Not for too long, but I legit love walking in the rain. It's so peaceful. If you have even a semi-decent rain jacket, I would highly recommend!

I don't think I said that right @Jynx
One good thing is that I'm meeting for an intake appointment tomorrow with the community MH.
Mmm, reframing it. I'm not fucked and deserve to eat. Though do I really believe that?

@Birdofparadise8 maybe you don't believe it right now, but that's okay. It's more about the repetition, about building new habits in the way you talk to yourself. Over time, you get better and better at catching yourself when your brain says something mean to you. You get better and better at responding to those thoughts and saying something kind in return. Over time, through repetition, you start to notice that you do actually believe it. But the point is you gotta keep practicing. So kudos! You did a positive affirmation. It might not feel like much, and you might not believe it right now, but you still did it.
Good luck with your appt! I hope it provides you with good support and reassurance 😊

@Birdofparadise8 yeah hun, it is hard. It's a long n difficult road. But I can tell you now that it is so, so worth the effort.
