That makes sense @Shaz51! I have family that come from Bowen.
Not really @Birdofparadise8. I probably won’t get any answers until Friday, if I’m lucky. But it could possibly be the following week! I just have to cope with it until then. The stress just sets off everything else. If I had t have seen the HR manager today I may have been fine.

@Captain24 so awful that that is how folks w MHI are treated hey. The stigma and discrimination is just... it contributes to people having even more struggles and complexity to their healing journey - exactly the opposite of what would be helpful i.e. patience and understanding. I'm sorry you've had similar experiences. Horrible that it teaches us that being open/honest is, at times, going to be met with punishment. So backwards 😫
Aww Pixie cuddles! I've got my kitty cat Trixie, also very cuddly today 😽

I do feel punished @Jynx. I also feel it has set me back in my recovery too. I was just starting to not feel ashamed of my MI but now I am again.
Thank you for letting me off load!
Give Trixie a cuddle from me!

I can totally imagine how it would, @Captain24 . I hope you remember that no one else ever gets to decide your value or your worth - I've always felt that there's no shame in not being 'well-adjusted' to our society when it is itself a kind of sickness.
I will pass on some good scritches!! Hope you get to soak up some glorious sunshine soon 😊💜

It’s just starting to warm up. @Jynx. The hottest part of the day is between 4 and 7pm.
I will get there. Just feels like this wave to ride is a tsunami! 😂

Yeah thank you @Jynx

Yeah @Birdofparadise8. My GP has to provide a fitness for work certification. I don’t see her until Thursday but I’ve emailed her all the info. She will say all the right things. I just have to hope work accepts it.

So with your work they know about your MH and just need your GP to say your all good to work. I don’t understand how your work can discriminate against MI in the first place it would be like saying you can work here because of your gender or cultural background @Captain24

Yes work know. @Birdofparadise8 I walked out on a training day when they were talking about MH and got to the suicide part. They want clearance in my mental stability and if I’m putting the safety of my colleagues at risk.
I do feel like it’s discrimination. There was an issue with me leaving an hr early the other day because I had a breakdown. I do have the Union on stand by though.
