yesterday
hiya @Bow just saw your tag, how are you going?
gonna quickly catch up on your other post as well 😊
yesterday
Just struggling a bit tonight @rav3n lotsa body memories happening and making me not feel safe inside
yesterday
i'm so sorry to hear, i can hear how overwhelming this is @Bow sitting with you 💜
would a distraction chat help? or if there's something else that would be more helpful, let me know. you curled up in bed?
yesterday
@Bow do you have any squishy toys to hug? sometimes i find squeezing something gently helpful.
i went to a rave on the weekend! was SUPER hot and dusty... we didn't realise how much dust we inhaled until we blew our nose and it was grey! then had a chill brunch on Sunday, did some shopping for my friend's birthday. how about you? how's the kitties, did the one that was sick get better?
yesterday
Yeah @rav3n i actually have my cat curled up beside me and my weighted sloth on my chest. Mr sloth is nice and fluffy.
a rave is cool. But the dust and heat not so. I’ve never been to one. Loud music yeah?
hmm my weekend… did a bit of shopping Saturday and then chilled. Sunday we did a market, first one back for the year. But it was really quiet. Not many around.
yesterday
@Bow that sounds sooo cosy!! where'd you get your weighted sloth from? i want to get some sort of weighted item, i feel like a weighted blanket might be too much for me but sloth sounds more doable.
yep very loud and overstimulating! but going with my close friends makes it feel less overwhelming. there's laser lights too. i always take protective ear plugs and glasses in case it gets too much. have you been to any sort of music festival or concert before?
ohh i see, when's the next market?
yesterday
I got my weighted sloth from the facilitators of my schema therapy group when we finished up @rav3n but it is from Kmart. It’s the perfect size. I’ve never had a weighted something before… didn’t think a blanket would suit me, but this definitely does.
Oh I think I’d struggle at something like that. Loud noise, lights and lotsa people. Nah never been to a music festival, but have done some concerts in the past.
what kinda music was it?
our next market is this Saturday.
yesterday
ooo okay i'll need to do another kmart run soon!! @Bow i wonder if they have other animals too... although a sloth sounds too good.
that's so fair! it is a lot for at times too. the rave was hardstyle music (it's a type of EDM)... honestly this rave was a bit too intense for me haha. i do like concerts better. i've gone to a few rnb, hip-hop and rap artist concerts. how about you, what sort of music/genre were the concerts you attended?
fingers crossed next Sat goes well!!
yesterday
i gotta head off now but just wanted to remind you that you can do this!! @Bow please don't hesitate to reach out if you need some more support, take care 💜
