Wow @Bow , well there goes my (mis)understanding that it's always quite cool in the UK!

Re: My Mosaic
Sounds like you had an awesome time @Bow . It’s amazing how old places are. Love all the pics. How did your daughter go with flying?
Jet lag is hard and coming back to normality can be difficult. Please look after yourself.

Re: My Mosaic
@tyme London… and alot of places in Europe have been having a heat wave. It’s normally much cooler!
@Captain24 my daughter was such a trooper! She did so well flying, even with our really late flights and overnight ones- she slept better than I did and then amused herself with onboard entertainment, the iPad and colouring in. She was sick on one flight, not sure why, but it was only the once and she was quickly back to herself. She wasn’t a fan of the landing… for some reason it hurt her throat/neck- not sure what that was about.
@NatureLover my health was fine while away. I looked after myself and ate. I did struggle inside my head though. A lot of ED thoughts, but I resisted. Now I’m back home though….. it’s a struggle.

Re: My Mosaic
Neither of us wanted to come home @Snowie my daughter would like to live in the US and wants to work at Disneyland as an animator. We had the opportunity to sit in on a animation class, and got to draw a Disney character. She really enjoyed that and since that, wants to work there. These are the pictures we drew… had to blank out our names.

Re: My Mosaic
Thanks @Captain24 I did what I needed to survive and ensure that I was safe while there, and that meant eating regularly, which was really hard. It was a struggle. It was a struggle eating food that I normally wouldn’t eat…. Cause I didn’t have many options. I was craving my regular food…. A cheese sandwich. An up and go. Some vegetables…. And all the while planning to go back to restricting badly when I get home.
my daughter hasn’t gone back to school yet. I let her have Friday off… which was a good idea cause I think she probably has a bit of jet lag. Waking up at crazy early hours. Hopefully she will be fine for Monday.

Re: My Mosaic
While in London we did a day trip to Paris.
Paris
We got up super early and caught the Eurostar ( the fast train) to Paris. It was 2hrs and we were in another country! We finally got a stamp in our passport too. We walked the pebbled streets of Paris to find our hop on hop off bus and then we settled in to view the gorgeous sights of Paris. We seen the Louvre, the Notre Dame Cathedral (getting fixed after the fire a couple of years ago- still looked stunning)…. And so many other sights. But we got off the bus at the Eiffel Tower where we managed to have tickets to go to the second floor, with 360 degree views of Paris. Again photos just don’t do it any justice. After wandering around for a bit we went down and jumped on a boat and did an hour ride of the Seine River- a different view of Paris. It was then time to start making our way back to the train, so jumped back on the hop on hop off bus. A few stops away from where we were to get off it started raining. It was an absolute downpour. The roads flooded. Everyone was caught in it and was wet and it didn’t let up. We couldn’t hail a cab…. And the one that we did manage to get to stop couldn’t understand me! and had no choice but to walk in the torrential rain back to the station! We then had to sit and wait…. Our train back to London was delayed by nearly 2 hrs and then the trip back in soaking wet clothes!
So apart from the torrential rain, Paris was beautiful too! I’d really like to go back and explore a little more, one day is not enough.

@Bow you are amazing 😮 I am so impressed that you ate while away, also that you ate foods you normally wouldn't choose to eat. You kept yourself well for the trip of a lifetime. A massive Well Done!
I am concerned for you now though...I know that this trip was a huge motivation for you to eat, both before and during. Now you're home, the struggle must seem overwhelming as you've been promising yourself you can restrict when you get home...I'm thinking of you and wishing you strength... 💜
