Hi @Former-Member
Im not sure if you're talking about a pap smear? I find them difficult. Something that you can talk to your gp about and working out ways of getting through it... and any other triggering procedures.
there are ways,

you could also take a support person with you or ask a nurse to be in with you to hold your hand. Its thankfully quite quick, but probably not something to worry about until you speak to the dr and then decide on a time after that.

@Former-Member .... my advice would be that if your GP hasn't asked for one, you are still very young, and I would wait until you are ready to hurdle this, or it comes up in convo with your GP as a matter of course ....
Everything in its own time Hon .... you are feeling triggered by this, and fearful. I think you have a few bridges you can cross ahead of trying to tackle this one .... and take the time you need, in baby steps.
@Former-Member is right ... when you are ready you can take a support person with you, and the GP will be discreet and cover you for privacy.
Dont worry ,... just park this one up for now, If there were an immediate issue you would have symptoms that would be taking you to the GP.
❤️💕
