@The-red-centaur Sorry the chat was not long enough. Each time you do utter your truth you are able to clarify and refine your expression. I have time is too short a lot. Some times the OTHER person is somone who will continue in our lives, but maybe think about it less as opening up, but more as your expressiveness. The anonymity of Lifeline or Sane chat means that an ongoing "relationship" or understanding is not on the cards.
Sorry not sure if I am making sense.
I read the thread and hope you will be able to wrok with staff in your hospital tomorrow.
Go Gently

@Appleblossomi felt like I couldn't express myself though, I was just starting to when they ended it.
I understand lifeline is short but they didn't listen to why I was distressed

That is fair enough @The-red-centaur.
Do you think it might help to write it down ?
Sometimes the process of translating thoughts and feelings into words helps us to feel more of a sense of control over them.
Can you rationalise that you are safe where you are at the moment ?
You have staff around. Do they check on you during the night ?

Maybe distract yourself with more YouTube videos for now @The-red-centaur, try to take your mind off it.

@The-red-centaur Sorry I dropped out last night. I hope you managed to settle yourself a bit. You must have a million things going on for you being in hospital.
The presence of that person is an extra trigger. Can you manage it so that you avoid interacting with him? Is it possible to be transferred to another unit.
Give yourself credit for dealing with an extra stressor.
Writing is good....for now or for later... the value of clarity is always helpful even if we dont know quite what to do with it yet.
Take care today, while your feelings are on alert.

Can you contact the doctor who sent you to r covert @The-red-centaur and explain the problem, letting him know that it is immobilising you with fear so you will be unable to recover like this, and ask of there somewhere else you can be placed while he is there ?
