I'll be wrapping up soon, but I hope to catch up with you some time during the weekend @ArraDreaming . You can maybe share some of your kids' antics, your plants of whatever. I still find it incredible that you have so much knowledge about plants!

Humans are curious by nature @ArraDreaming - that's how babies and children first learn about they world they are in. The try things. They push boundaries.
Perhaps you did it because you are human?
For tonight, focus on what is important to you. As I've said many times, you have come such a long way 🙂

Just bringing light to this fucked up situation
So turns out my nearly 5 year old thinks the queen and my mum are the same person, he saw the picture of the queen on tv this morning and he said “dad look” and said “yeah the queen, they are doing a show on her because she died” “your mums on tv I wanna be on tv, hey * baby’s name * his mums on tv”
I could be upset but im just going to laugh at the innocence of children
I told him to cut it out when he started asking when HIS mum was going to be on tv 😑

Hey @ArraDreaming
Just been catching up on your thread. Sending a cooee.
Hell, dealing with the death your mother and all the complications of lots vulnerable and out of control family dynamics is a HUGE ASK.
Hard to be the role model and more functional member of a struggling family. I had to deal with that. You're allowed to be human.
Love your kid holding your ear lobe. Fills my heart. Thanks
Just flying by.

Thanks @Appleblossom it’s so hard hey, mum had no other people looking out for, she was pretty lonely, so it makes sense that it all falls on us, it’s hard a lot of my siblings are still children too. Wish I had one them that I could connect with over this time a bit better

I am guessing she did her best, but still not easy for her, you, and the younger ones. It is hard to know how to "connect" with youngers when we feel responsible for everything.. Sometimes there are stories that can help ... like the lady I knew ... who always said "ta for now", when it was brought up in her funeral it was touching, most people recognised it.

Yeah they are growing up really fast @Appleblossom too fast for me to keep up with, I miss them all, I haven’t seem them much over the last few years until recently
Mum and I had this running joke when I was a kid that I could never scare her I’d jump from around corners and she would pretend that I didn’t make her jump and she would say you didnt get me, one day I’m sure I did and she was adamant I could never do it
