Re: Dark thoughts scaring me.
Hi @Tigga321 ..... and welcome to the forums.
My “like” was to say that I am hearing to you. Have you seen your doctor for help with this ?
I am glad you checked in here today ...... reaching out is a good idea, and this is a good place to reach out.

Re: Dark thoughts scaring me.
Yes I see a psych, but unavailable for the next 7 weeks,
I'm on new meds now 6 weeks, there not working. Not sure what to do now, I can't go on like this, to many tears to many memories,

Re: Dark thoughts scaring me.
Hi @Tigga321
Hi, I can relate to your situation, especially with the childhood.
I am glad you are seeing a psychologist but 7 weeks is a long time to go without support.
Were the meds prescribed by a doctor or psychiatrist?
Do you do any mindfullness to help with the flashbacks at all?
There is support out there. 1800 RESPECT is a great support. If you ring them they will put you through to a specialist counsellor who can help with giving you different ways to cope.
Sorry if there are too many questions. Just answer what you feel comfortable with

Re: Dark thoughts scaring me.
Hi Neil,
My physiatrist prescribed them, I do use mindfulness but my thoughts are to loud and meditation and mindfulness not helping, it's been 3 nights now without sleep, I'm not sleepy just mentally exhausted.

Re: Dark thoughts scaring me.
@Tigga321I can certainly relate to what you are talking about. I am glad you have supports in place, just a long time to wait. Hopefully you find support on this forum.
If your meds are not working, than maybe it is something you can discuss with your psychiatrist. I am on med try number 4 at the moment.

This is my 4th lot as well, I told him last week there not working but he said to keep at them..I live in a small country village the psychiatrist flys down from Sydney, he won't be back for 7 more weeks, My gp not allowed to change them my mental health nurse away for 5 weeks. I don't think I'm going to last that long, This hurting is wearing me down
