Hi @Kyle1
I do not understand all your posts.
But i do try cryptic thinking to absorb part of them.
It certainly is a great distraction
Do you do cryptic puzzles?

Re: Creative Thinking and Mental Health
hi @Former-Member
I'm not sure what cryptic puzzles are.?
I don't intend to be cryptic as such I must apologise for that. When I type a post I'm trying to be both as authentic and forthrite as I can, without the waffles...

Re: Creative Thinking and Mental Health
No need to apologise
I just looked something up:
Cryptic. having a meaning that is mysterious or obscure
Sort of example:
Just before crossing the finish line, you overtake the person in second place!
What place did you finish in?
Think before you look lower.
The answer is sort of cryptic.
Not what we usually think.
But you may have it.
Second Place. If you pass the person in second, you take second place, and they became third
Bu the way, I like cryptic if my head is fine. The 1% show on Channel 7 I do not watch, but is sort of cryptic.
You had a message about a hat left. I felt that was sort of cryptic
I enjoy your posts as they are. They make me think. Keep doing what you are doing! You have a reader here

Re: Creative Thinking and Mental Health
Hi @Kyle1
I just sent a cryptic type to someone on the forum
They wrote
[ I am just moping around while listening to sad music this morning ]
I replied:
I say, make you mum happy.
Add a P to Moping around
and start Mopping around!
So the first part "Add a P" is the cryptic part.
Makes little sense.
Some get it. Many will not.
But explaining that Add a P means change Moping to Mopping is the cryptic part

Re: Creative Thinking and Mental Health
I could resonate with your opening post. It had many concepts; pathos, irony and even a level of humour in it in the end ... maybe??? It can be hard to read when words are not organised into sentences, but sentence structure can also obscure the experience of the mind which can often be full of jumbled thoughts. I see it as a result of too much going to be able to process clearly ... or hold in mind .. all at once ... not much into the osis .... thingummyjig ... that some clinicians bandy about. I developed my style ... of putting in 3 dots ... to separate words a bit ... can you tell I did lit? lol
Hey @Former-Member
Its interesting what you responded with. I have never been into cryptic ... stuff ... as a teen.. it seemed to assume secret knowledge that I was never privy to, so I just did not engage ... as an adult ... too much to do to worry my mind unnecessarily. Later a professor said my poetry was cryptic ... so I guess ... my story ... I knew what was going on ... not deliberately cryptic ... just too much going on.
Sorry thats my tendency ... to unpack ... and find a logic somehow ...
Take Care guys.

Re: Creative Thinking and Mental Health
I must say l also found your reply to @Kyle1 interesting with your 3 x dots.
I use paragraphs a lot.
Some others do.
Yours ... is ... the ... first...time I have seen 3 dots.
Gee. That is hard work.
