Re: Changing meds
Thank you so much @WIP for all this helpful information.
Anyone I know who has had it still ended up having ECT so it’s good to know it helped you for a while.
i am just afraid that nothing will work.

Re: Changing meds
The decision is yours of course @Eve7 and you're gut will let you know what to do.
If you're having med changes at the same time as TMS, you aren't going to know which of these helps you - could be both, or it could
be just one, but you're not going to know which one. From my experience though, TMS did help - it's just not a long term solution & neither is ECT.
Is you med change, in the same family of medication? Or totally different? If it's in the same family, I'd hope that you'd have less side effects. And in combination with TMS, you'll come out of hospital feeling pretty good. You need to go into hospital holding hope and faith that the effort is going to work, otherwise you're already setting yourself back from a successful admission.
From what I hear DBT is pretty full on. Your pdoc is certainly throwing a lot at you all at once.
But they know you well, and must believe you're strong enough to succeed at it all ⭐️❤️
I did end up having ECT, but my father had passed after a short term illness and my job had been made redundant and mum wanted to sell the family house, that I'd have to do all the work. I couldn't handle it all.
I made an uneducated/ill informed decision to do ECT & it wasn't for me.
Im actually of thinking of trying TMS again, but won't go into hospital while these stage 4 restrictions are still going in Melbourne.
Staying in your hospital room 24/7 - apart from your tms session would be detrimental to my MH

Re: Changing meds
I am sorry it didn’t stay good for you @WIP and I do realise it’s just short term.
The med change is quite different so if it works and TMS works I don’t really care which it was or if it was both.
i can’t stay like I am battling si and sh every day.
pdoc will only let me do DBT in hospital but he has said he doubts I’ll be ready for it this admission. It’s more me wanting to do everything at once.
Youve been really helpful. How is your day?

Thankyou for saying that and I mean it when I say you’ve been really helpful @WIP
I think I’ll put the jug on if you’d like to join me for a cuppa
