Re: All storms pass
Caring teachers and mental health workers kept me alive. Its the least I can do to acknowledge that.
My son thinks they do not help, but maybe they cannot change the external issues, but I know one of my current ladies CARES about my son and I and was treated dismissively by my CATT team in September. Our situation escalated and is still serious. My son also had an ED presentation that was poorly handled, instead of establishing APPROPRIATE follow up they discharged him.
Paranoia in the community is meaning that the repeated fobbing off of my son and I may become "criminogenic". My son still has no intention toward public harm and it is a waste of tax payers money that the prosecuation pretends he is a risk. My son is not that paranoid yet, but I am repeatedly told how paranoid the community is. What is the daughter of 2 schizophrenics supposed to think. Yes I am sorry and I can see that overall our general community has become a lot more paranoid. It makes me sad for everybody.
YET still while I am alive and take breath, I have no option but to pay respect to the things that are good and do work.
Flippancy by CATTteam is not a good. More follow ups are needed for ED presentations. APPOINTMENTS and phone calls SHOULD have been made. I need to log off and do some gardening and music. I have neglected my music a lot, with all the issues and research around his current situation. Our society is becoming more authoritarian. I doubt it will help the community.

Re: All storms pass
Hour by hour @Former-Member. I am really trying hard to not look too far past that atm. I couldn't sleep this afternoon so I am extremely tired and still quite shaky from the lack of sleep. On a positive - no nausea and headache is manageable for now.
How are you?

Re: All storms pass
Sorry to hear @Appleblossom everything that has happened with you and your family. There is still so far to go with MI and the stigmas associated with it.
I hope you enjoy your gardening and music

Re: All storms pass
@Zoe7nothing wrong with hour by hour or even minute by minute sometimes. We do what we can do to get through our days and nights. Lack of sleep does not help and it doesn't sound like your ''emergency meds" helped you sleep last night either. I am glad you can find some positives in an othewise crappy time!
I am ok. Saw pdoc today. Trying different meds since the ones I am on gave me side effects and didn't help me. So now another waiting game which I HATE. So will AGAIN wait to see if these new meds work, wait to see if I have side effects, just keep waiting!!

Re: All storms pass
@Owlunar Awwwww thank you for saying I'm magnificant. I have a sneaking suspicion that there may be one or two people who don't share your sentiment right now. Oh well. I did the best I could in the situation in which I found myself, and that is all I can ever do - even if my best sometimes looks like utter chaos. I am doing my best right now and when I learn how to do better, then I will do better.
@Former-Member Thank you for doing the catering for the clean-up crew.
@Zoe7 I super super SUPER love your cleaning outfit.
I can't say I've actually contributed to the clean-up yet, so I am super glad to see that you are on the job @Zoe7. I can't see myself being in a space to start on the cleanup for a while yet.

Re: All storms pass
Just a little something I threw together for this super giant clean-up little turtle
You don't need to worry about cleaning anything up yourself right now @Phoenix_Rising - the clean-up crew will be here as long as it takes
