@outlander - did the nurse or doctor tell you what is next? I remember I have an abnormal pap smear ages ago and it freaked me out. However the nurse mentioned that it is not to be concerned as it depends on the next test in a year's time. Boy was I nervous but that 2nd one turned out to be OK.
Hopefully that is what it is....

LSIL HPV
is the cervical cells are midly abnormal. It is a HPV infection that may or may not go away on its own. I have to go for another pap tests in 6 months and if its grown I have to go to a gynacologist to seek furthur treatment
even though it may go away on its own but it will still be in my system
abnormal cells have been found on te surface of the cervix and at this point its pre malignant

Hi @outlander
You sound freaked out - these are the results of your PAP smear and actually - I figured it out - the reason you were so freaked out was more than just the process but also what they would find
And they found abnormal cells and this is so scary
And embarrassing- but there is not need to be embarrassed - we know that you were abused and this was not because you exposed yourself to this kind of health issue
I did read Dr Google - and sometimes these things clear up of there own accord - but at least they have found something
But how lonely and frightened you must be!!!!!!!!!
I have my moments over the last day or so but I seem to be more settled now - so I don't know how long I will be around but I will be for a while
I care heaps
