I know the feeling well @outlander. If it was me sitting in your place, I would be shaking and twitching, unable to stop the tears (which is not crying it's just a physical reaction with me) and the inevitable runny nose; of which fear grasps me in such a way I can not even bring myself to wipe it!
The reason I choose to think about my breathing is to change my focus. It helps 'pull in' the run-away emotions. No matter how embarrassed your feeling, or how embarrassing you appear to others, you are trying. It's like your facing a mountain so high you can't even see the peak. But keep putting one foot after the other, however you can, and not only will you see it, you'll reach it and plant your flag.
I know how difficult this is for you, how exhausting it is, how much effort your giving.
Don't give up, your stronger than you can see right now. I believe in you

What happened with your appointment @outlander - and why do you feel embarrassed?
There is no need to feel embarrassed - but I am sure that most women have had tests on their girl-parts and felt weird - I know I have
So do you have your pelvic exam on Monday - I know that is going to be hard for you - I will try my best to hold your hand - imagine I am anyway
I will be thinking of you - and caring

😄 I have the same tendency @outlander! Can you imagine it - this blubbering, dribbly, pale Cheshire cat, shaking in a corner 🙂 😄
One down, one to go . . . and this one - you've done it! Let yourself feel proud about that 🙂

Triplets I think @outlander and @Former-Member
You should be around me when I have to have a tooth out - or rather - the root of a tooth - I have lost a lot of teeth because of my bad bite - and everytime I freak out to a major degree and tell jokes non-stop - luckily I have a very good dentist
And I have female exams as well - and would not tell a male doctor if I had a problem - only the female doctor at my clinic - so I get it
So the three of us can twitch together over the weekend - just supporting you Outlander - oh dear - and men can be such sooks about it but we girls have so much more to bother about
About the steroid cream - I am wondering how that can help but maybe it will - I hope so - I think it might - I pray it will -
So I am thinking my best thoughts hard - very hard
