Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post
Is that the Introduced Asian House Gecko @Shaz51? They're spreading around the country.
Apparently those are Very Noisy Critters....

Queensland Museum: Asian House Gecko -
"Initially confined to the urban coastal regions of the Northern Territory and Far North Queensland, Asian House Geckos have shown amazing adaptability and resilience and are now distributed south to Tennant Creek (Northern Territory), west to roadhouses in the Great Sandy Desert and in all Queensland ports from Cooktown to the Gold Coast. They have also been recorded in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, and have been intercepted in cargo and caught in buildings on Norfolk Island. The species appears to be continuing its progression southward with individuals captured at Broken Head, NSW, in 2004 and a reliable report of an established population at Coffs Harbour.
Only introduced gecko in Australia. The Asian House Gecko is Australia's most successful invasive reptile".

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post
Bub morphed into an appleblossom briefly & found some ghostly gekkies on the World Wide Womb.
its more tekkie than the Wandering Womb, infinitely less organic, so Bub was relieved to get back down to earth. Safe and Sound in her cosy cavorting cave, munching on CCs before being rocked and lulled to sleep.
Thought she glimpsed David Bowie on the trip down, but it might have been a dream ... she is not sure ...
Ooooh @Sophia1 actually the WWWomb suffered a predictatext attack ... She is sure she typed ....".... feel full".... not fell full ....
Oh dear now she's riffing on Fs .... FFF ... ...its wellbehaved and legal mods .....its poetry
Full Fathom Five ....
but is it Plath or Shakespeare?

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post
Hello
@Oaktree, @Sophia1 , @Appleblossom , @Shaz51 , @Adge
and all visitors to this thread
"
Really enjoyed reading the random contributions of the day, with a variety of different characters, plausible and otherwise, but all intriguing and humorous.
"
Loved the Magic Wishing Well story Meggle, Thank you.
"
Rather like the idea of the journalist type character, Sophia. I do think that you have connected attributes, personality and interests nicely.
"
Must say, if I were perched in a tree Appleblossom, and I happened to spy a wandering womb, I think that I would be likely to fall out of the tree as well, particularly if a Gumnut baby happened to be snuggled down enjoying the travels. And your references, with Shaz and Adge, on the different Geckos, were also pleasant reading.
"
That spiny leaf insect, successfully mimicking a scorpion, was really interesting, Shaz.
"
I hadn't realised how tired I am feeling and words are becoming a little vague, so I shall off to bed with the wish for everyone of a
Very Restful Sleep
and
A lovely Sunday and Week Ahead
With Best Wishes

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post
Hello @Adge
Am reading back over the thread and responses...
Found your reply to talking to your birds...
Had visions of birds all over your back and head....hold out your arms....
birdman....
my cat eats everything that he can find...
always cleaning the floor in the kitchen and pantry...
also claws clothing to remind us to pat and cuddle him...constantly...
hope that you are more relaxed today and just enjoying the day....Sunday...tomorrow comes on it's own.
love Sophia

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post
Nutty Bub is in full swing in and out of WWW.
Love the creative mind coming up with your new character....Can see many interesting escapades and mischief ...love it...
as for David Bowie well why not....
I wonder if he has ever covered a version of do the hokey pokey? David Bowie style would really bring on a smooth version...
Munching on CC''s .....is that background crunching in tune?
As for Plath or Shakespeare I will let you enlighten us....haha
Can't wait to hear what happens next and how we all meet up if we ever do...we do not really have to do we...

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post
You did very well @HenryX
considering all of the varieties of posts awaiting you to read when you returned home from a long excursion..
We all thank you for contributing...
Putting it altogether nicely...
Yes I can see you fitting nicely into journalist roll...will also give you time out when needed...can be worked into the story....journalists do a lot of behind the scenes...listening in...spying...so behind the bushes works in on occasions..
Have a rest today... I am about to go out in the garden again..
I had 5 hours out there yesterday with cat....loved it...grounds me and soothes my troubled soul...
take care enjoy your day..
love
Selkie 💙
