Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post
Shaz51 chuckled; "typical cat. Grateful until he's fed!" , ha ha yes come my little Sooty , as the Cook cleaned him up and then made a lovely place for him to place his weary body to have a sleep and then she placed some of Sooty`s favourite food for him @Flax

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post
Should Sooty share something really secret about himself to cheer up @Sophia1?
Sooty got some art lessons in the Castle on the lake, where the Professor is the resident librarian, and Sooty did a self-portrait...so he thought he'd share:
He is such a naughty cat, he even fibs sometimes....but only sometimes, and the fibs are only little....sort of like he can paint, but only with the help of google

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post
Sooty doesn't know which to choose, the food or the bed.....
Cat heaven.
Sooty stroked an ear with his paw while contemplating the delightful choices. Then it dawned on him...Cook is so clever, feed him up and he'll fall alseep.
Like all cats, Sooty is practical: food first, then sleep.
Sooty, delighted in the savoury delights that Cook had set out, pounced to the closest plate of cat delicacies, skoffed them until he felt he could eat no more...let's face it, Cook can dish up food that makes Jamie Oliver look like an apprentice.
Sooty then eyed that interesting swing bed...
Replete with satisfaction; the empheral black cat, hopped onto the swinging bed, curled up, purred in satisfaction, then closed his eyes to a day of adventure and new experiences to dream of what would happen tomorrow.

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post
@Flax and @Sophia1 , @Shaz51 , @Adge as well as others visiting this thread.
Please know that everyone is included in the greeting above, even if they may not appear to be recognised in that greeting. So, please, do not be concerned.
It has been really delightful to read the responses from, and including, Sooty's adventure, as I do enjoy reading this thread as a whole. While there may be some lean times in terms of contributions, it always seems to come to life and present new ideas in varying ways, not only the stories, but the humour also included. Some are able to give it more, possibly as part of their own self-care and some have the need to receive for the same or other reasons.
I don't know about Sooty, but Henry needs to eat the calorie lean portion of what you have presented Shaz. All so very tempting.
With My Very best Wishes
to Everyone

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post
Hello all
@Adge @Flax @HenryX @Shaz51 @Oaktree @Appleblossom @Exoplanet
Here is an image of Horrace for our latest adventures..
Adge chose one of two and I selected this one feeling that it fitted well with little bee collecting nectar...
We might see these two interreacting....hovering near the summer house and potting shed for rest...
off on adventures in the forest checking out an abundance of wild flowers drawing them closer..
That is of course in between them joining the nameless little girl on her adventures...
oops nearly forgot the image...

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post
Hello @Flax
I just reread your post in response to mine in relation to why you wrote the story.
Pleased to hear that you are on the mend.
I follow your theory about having rough days so was a good analogy...
I always feel a sense of warmth when people do express that they care...
It was a great story...
Not sure what the term "banged" means though...hopefully feeling better if means a tad low..
I do like the saying about reality have not heard that one before..
Yes...being kind to myself as I tell everyone else....practise practise practise..
Quite a wonderful response and the story is off and running again..
your friend
Sophia
