Moving interstate in 2003, November was total culture shock
Uni lecturer asked where I was the previous day (Keep in mind that I'd just come back from extended sick leave with acute psychosis) and I had my first lesson in state vs federal public holidays

Me too. I keep on standing up and feeling too overwhelmed
I am staring at the mess in the home with good intentions

Oh! @Former-Member , those weekly chats are unique. They are live, fast-paced chats.
1) Thursday Peer Group Chat: these are based on a topic. Throughout the 1.5 hours, we post questions related to the topic, and people answer. There's no right or wrong. It's more a general discussion where people can share their experiences.
2) Sunday Hangout: these are not structured chats. We just all meet at the same time on Chatwee, and we talk about whatever. It may start with a prompt but there's no need to stick to it. This week will be "Life's little annoyances"
I'll tag you the next time I publish one (tomorrow). Feel free to join. It is on a separate platform though.

@tyme I really like the live chats. They are not only interesting and provoke thought afterwards, they are a bit fab for people like me who get horribly shy about talking in social spaces.
Immediate does not give time to overthink and curl into introvert shell 😊
There, just managed to post on social space.

That's great to hear @Louie333 . I can really relate.
To be honest, i think the live chats give me confidence to then take those skills out into the real world.
Not only the live chats, but also the forums. By nature, I'm much better with text communication than speaking.
Since using the forums, my ability to speak in public has really grown.
It's as though I have put all my thoughts on paper and can now talk the thoughts with clarity.
But yeah.. if I had the choice, I'd still be text-based communication over verbal. And that's okay 🙂

@tyme I can see why they give you that confidence to take into the world, that is great!
A lot of thought going into the questions and timing too.
We are all so different with our comfort zones in communicating. I am the opposite, I am far better at face to face and phone communication and find text difficult
It's great the forums give you clarity to talk the thoughts and text based communication works for you😊
