Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

@Former-Member I got peppermint, roobois, chamomile, black tea, and chai. What will you have? Smiley Very Happy

Hey, did anyone see that show last night called 'Please Like Me'? I'm interested in hearing people's thoughts about it.

There's no doubt about it, SI is scary and horrible. A few of you may be interested in a thread, which @Former-Member started yesterday. It's about how to cope with sucidal thoughts. It's been a wonderfully honest, and productive discussion.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

@CherryBomb can I please have a warm Milo??

Coming on here is the only place I feel safe enough to actually say how I am really feeling and thinking. And. right now, that's enough.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Dark here, 7.08pm. Horrible Histories on TV. Seen most of them now so just listening as I type. I do that sometimes, just listen to the TV, sometimes jazz radio on TV. Computer is a distraction for me too though I'm having more hopeful thoughts on the whole at the moment. The 'in between' moments get me, something really disturbing there for me that I can't put into words. That's why I think having a daily activity plan is helping me too - it tells me what to do when I hit that scary void time throughout the day. Mind you, I've not had a single day of getting through everything on the list. Trying not to worry about that too much.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

I feel better knowing that @Crazy_Bug_Lady

One cup of warm milo coming up! How do you like btw? Everyone has different ways of doing? For instance, boiling water, or just heating milk in the microwave. I'm a soy milk on stovetop kinda gal with a few teaspoons of milo.

Did I mention that I made pumpkin pie? Anyone want some??

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Can I ask what are some things on your daily plan @Mazarita? Do you have back-up options just in case you find that there's something that you mind not feel up to? Or do you just make a commitment and do the things on the plan?

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Hi All,

Sorry i am late, been busy today, feeling really good, i don't know why but i will not complain Smiley Happy

Hi @Appleblossom & @Mazarita, isn't pavelova from new zealand Smiley Embarassed, yum i will have a nice slice with coffee, hi @CherryBomb, thank you for looking after me this week, i am still struggling how to word things, thank you so much for pointing out what i have said wrong.

Hi @Crazy_Bug_Lady, @Former-Member & @Former-Member, i am so sorry you have had a rought few days, @Former-Member i have no experiance with relationships, but maybe some time doing your own things may help, as they say "absense makes the heart grow fonder".  maybe you are just getting to each other, i know mum and myself have times like these and we just do our own thing and leave each other alone.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

I'd love some pumpkin pie ...  @CherryBombso American... it was my Californian Italian uncle who gave me the taste for it and his recipe... not the Minnesotans ...

I think a major problem in multicultural blended societies is that there is a lot less that can be taken for granted in that others know what to do ... or bond over past memories etc... as we are all coming from such a range of places ... I think it is a big part of the failure of the American dream.

Dear @Mazarita I never get through all the things on the list ... the thing is to just keep making them and shifting the 'not done yet' onto the new list ...

I guess that has been my best strategy of all ..

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Awww @Jacques, so nice to see you. How you doing?

I'm not sure that what you wrote was 'wrong'.  In my perspective, I'd like to think there's no 'right' or 'wrong' per se, just guidelines. Smiley Wink

Whatcha been up to today?

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

@CherryBomb - I really liked the first season of Please Like Me, but I haven't got around to watching season 2 or 3, except in bits and bobs.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

@Appleblossom it is quite an American, well Nth American dish - I never knew of pumpkin pie until I went to Canada a few year back. I've not been able to find any since, and my attempts to make it so far haven't been great. Are you sure you want a slice? Smiley Wink

Has anyone else tried pumpkin pie?
