@Jacques maybe you could ring the sane helpline to ask what services would be available to someone who can't speak & then if you have some concrete information she might be more receptive?
Tip: I tried positive thinking when my mental ill health first became debilitating - it is actually counterproductive.
She may be suffering from PTSD?
@NikNik - yeah, it isn't the best look - best to put on those yoga tights & crop top or sports bra! (top on top unless you are super body confident!) I think not having reception will be awesome - although I get scared if I don't have credit for a phone call - a break from social media & internet is always good though
Namaste,
Anna

Hi @Jacques,
I have absolutely no expertise in any of this but my gut says if you could somehow find someone who has lived through something similar and has found life beyond this it could help her to realise there could be a life beyond this for her as well. There is obviously so much trauma in this, I feel for her and you helping her through this. You really are a beautiful soul. I wish you all the best with this, hugs💜😊

@Former-Member I know that feeling, that life feels like its passing by. 34 is still young, you probably dont think so though. I didnt get married until very late 30's. Thats great that you have been studying psychology. Ive heard that its a very difficult subject to study. A lecturer mentioned that when I was at our local university with my daughter recently. I was in my 30"s when I travelled overseas. I wish I had waited until I met my hubby, I really didnt like travelling alone. Not to worry, cant change the past, but can only do my best to make sure the future is better. I cant wait to feel well enough to travel again, to experience it all without extreme fatigue and anxiety.
I often feel very frustrated that I am not achieving what I would like to achieve, due to health. But I try to look back at how bad I was and I can see that I am alot better.
Rest up and look after yourself. Good things will happen.

But @Faith-and-Hope your kids have you guiding them, mine have me and it's like the blind leading the blind except that I'm worse than the kids. I have no faith in keeping control and being able to help them and not make things worse. I am so stressed with it all right now. 😞
