Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

How wonderful, @CherryBomb, the Blue Mountains. I sometimes dream of pets, a dog for partner and a cat for me, but we would be one big happy family. We'd also get ours from animal shelters.

@Appleblossom An educational structure and a 'to do' list sound like good tools. Cat Wink

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

@CherryBomb - Please Like Me is a bit autobiographical, and it shows a whole bunch of flawed, very human characters who care about each other. They face these situations with courage and humour, by and large. There are two previous seasons.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

My son used to watch music and comedy shows with Josh Thomas from Please Like Me on the panels ... he is refreshing and great for young people.

Yes I found the pie pic online too  ... tut tut   @CherryBomb .... we dont need to buy the puree ... it can work with any squash ... but butternut is the sweetest.  If it worked for me back then it cant be hard ... the custard usually sets just fine.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

ooops sorry @Former-Member ... you meant the profile pic

Burmese are beautiful animals ... I had a friend with a blue and brown .. their health can be a little delicate though.

I have two long-hair black and white toms ... sitting around the room with me... purring like mad.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Hahaha @Appleblossom Smiley Embarassed I am embarassed I like to use canned pumpkin! It's how I learnt in Canada! I tried normal pumpkin, it's just didn't work.

@grubbytoes if you find pumpkin pie, you must share! I'm pretty sure, they're a rare commodity here in Oz. **passing you a tea pot and some sugar. **

@CannonSalt You have so well articulated what I like about it too. I just love the characters, they are flawed, but brillantly honest.

What's everyone up to this weekend?

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

I love random cats I meet on the street and curious visiting cats who come visit even when you don't feed them. Like @Jacques, I appreciate how they respond to me and respect their independence. An adopted cat I coaxed into a share house was even a special friend during crisis moments for me, just sitting quietly beside me in the night.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

I am going to say good night ...  ... it is very relieving to be able to anticipate a pleasant and regular gathering,

and getting to know,

and be fond of a group of lovely people.

Thank you all for your company

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

They do get on together. They are so cute playing together. I still haven't caputured a good photo of them together. They are both still kittens - one is younger than the other. No I don't have a dog, but there are plenty of dogs on my partner's mother's farm where I live. I am not a "dog person" however. I don't know what I'm doing this weekend. My partner will drag me out somewhere *sigh* I just feel like sleeping tomorrow.... I usually can't get to sleep for hours at night & then wake up at 6am. Today I only had 3.5 hours sleep before waking up to start the day today. Usually I have a 1 hour nap during the day. I wish I just had 8 good quality hours at night. I'm going to go to bed now even though I won't sleep for hours probably. I feel really depressed & just want the day to end. Thank you for the company - hopefully I remember to join you next Friday. Take care everyone - hope you all can find the strength to keep fighting.... x
