Hi @Former-Member
I keep writing that book - I keep on and on - and some day I might make enough sense to do something about publishing it - after all - we can publish our own work on-line - so much is impossible in this time - I often feel as if I was born before my time
Actually I don't have my pilot licence - I don't have a drivers licence now - my cat is registered - and oh yes - I have to finish the census tonight -
So I flew over Bass Strait in a 10 seater - which isn't as small as it might seem - they carry 12 people with the pilot and co-pilot
My life has been interesting - it's just full of stories -

I think it would make for a fantastic read as a book. But even if you don't get to put all the stories together, by broadcasting the stories widely, like seeds, they take ro ot in all who read/hear them and inspire, heal, amaze, uplift, and educate.
lol re: your cat is registered.
A 10 seater over Bass strait still sounds pretty "Walter Mitty" to me!

Yes @Former-Member
My cat is registered - here we have to pay an annual fee to keep a cat - and she is also microchipped
She used to wear a collar with her registration tag - but she is older than any other cat I have had - and the collar wore the hair away from around her neck in patches - but she wanders of less now
Nothing at all Walter Mitty about my flying over Bass Strait in a 10 seater - a lot of people used to do it - I think it's harder since 9/11 but I did it often - I would get a fly-drive deal and fly out from Moorabbin Air Port and then drive all over Tasmania -
At the past - maybe there is an element of Walter Mitty in all of it when it comes to the memories that please us the most

Hi @Decadian. That's so cute that cats are registered down there. The annual fee isn't so cute though. My cat's microchipped too. I'm hoping they'll develop as app that allows me to control her with my iPhone. lol
Love your line about "the memories that please us the most". 🙂

Hi @Former-Member
Since I am a pensioner it costs about @16.00 to get her registered - of course she has been speyed too - it costs more to registered animals likely to reproduce and make more of the same
I have great memories - I guess spreading my stories around are like seeds in the wind - they will land where they will - and this is brilliant - if they make people laugh - or teach someone something - this is good

Had a quiet, rather solemn day but looking forward to tonight's Friday Feast menus. For starters, will have
an asian theme of fried rice done with lots of stir fry vegetables,no meat, although I'm not a vegetarian exclusively and a dessert of bread and butter pudding topped with a dessetspoonful of maple syrup and
a scoop of vanilla icecream, for good measure! A small glass of ginger wine and a DVD of a delightful story
called "The Holiday" starring Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet. Hope all forum members will join with myself
in celebratng the Friday night get-together and that they will have an enjoyable weekend. Best wishes. Bimby2
