Re: The Community Garden :)

gosh @eth that is far more effective than any pharmaceutical drug or vitamin that they are making millions from.

I am going to copy and paste.

Could not possibly remember all of those.

I need to do research on sun, shade, frost, soil etc.

This is perfect timing for me.

Thank you so much for tagging me.

What a wonderful produce garden.

One of my cousins in England has his business on land owned by royalty and he grows cuttings for various types of plants along with herbal, fruit, vegetable..they also have a hut and garden area where pre school children can learn and plant cuttings. It had a special feel about the place when I was there. They are not allowed to use the property for retail purposes but he does maintain large estates so it is a perfect setting for cultivation and at the same time teaches young ones.

I shall copy and paste.

Thank you

Re: The Community Garden :)

well @TAB

one out of two is half way there..

at least the lawnmower itself is in good repair..

perhaps sitting back and observing might inspire you..

you might try talking to it, coaxing it to be less strenuous a task....😁

Re: The Community Garden :)

Re: The Community Garden :)

hay grows on roof tops in china was an old saying that my parents used to say to me @TAB

Re: The Community Garden :)

no idea but thanks for sharing @Sophia1 😎 my father is 95,He identified with Vandalen 😸

Re: The Community Garden :)

No worries @Sophia1  it makes me happy to share and hopefully inspire.  What I did last season was google good things to plant at the time of year for my area.  There's a lot of info like that online.  Plus I'm in a couple of backyard and indigenous/native planting groups on fb.  Planting what is seasonal gives a much better success rate.  Also I have a Moon Planting Guide calendar and use that sometimes to plan what garden activities I will do at any given time.  The moon phases have a lot of influence on the results if used as a guide.  It's a circular astrological calendar too (sounds a bit cosmic but I just use it for the practical info it contains) - you can get it at new age/hippy type shops for $15.  I don't stick to it at all but it's good for inspiration.

Take care and enjoy xx

Edit :  It's easy to remember it all ... my cabin is under the avo tree at the back of the yard and most of my outlook is towards the vegie garden, plus my exercise bike is now living in the vegie garden area!
