Hi all. I love spring bulbs - fresias, irises, tulips, etc. Alsi frangipani, which I have a lovely one in our garden. Unfortunately frost bitten from a series of frosts over the past week. I will trim it up though, and it will come back better than ever. And only in the past week, I discovered what a weird plant in our garden is - a gymea lilly. Flowering for the first time this year after moving here 9 years ago. It has a long spire about 15 feet tall and a funny pod up the top which finally errupted into red flowers. Day of the triffods. 😲

Hi @Former-Member@Former-Member@Shaz51@CheerBear and others
I used to have 2 blocks of land and our house was built in the middle. We had a huge garden. Roses, irises, daffodils, ferns, palms, and all sorts of coloured flowers and plants. I loved my garden it gave me so much pleasure just being out there watering and it gave me time to think. Every time I got stressed I would go outside and water my plants. Now where in a very small block where there’s not many plants.

I think of gardenia for some reason, when I think of flowers and you @Shaz51 😊
Hi @Battleweary - nice to 'meet' you. I agree that there's something pretty fab about the idea of bulbs resting underground waiting to become strong and bloom
Hi @Former-Member. Great to see you! I had a quick look on Google at gymea lily. Oh my goodness! How odd and awesome! Is it really tall?
That sounds a bit sad to have left your beautiful garden @BlueBay. Do you have any plants in containers or pots?
I had a look around for "what a favourite flower says about you" for a bit of fun ☺ Link here if anyone is interested. It has a description for daffodils and tulips @BlueBay, rose @Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member and @Shaz51, and peonies @Former-Member.

Hi @CheerBear it was sad leaving our old house 😢. I really miss my garden. Now at our new place it’s nit the same. A small courtyard with pots. I don’t feel the same peace and serenity as the old place. It’s pretty emotional. But I guess it is what it is.

Great to hear you enjoyed the read @Former-Member ☺ I did too.
Wow @Former-Member there are some very cool flowers in there! Love the passion flower. It's another odd and awesome one ☺
I can imagine how that's not the same @BlueBay, sorry 🙁 This isn't the same but I had a lovely (little but lovely) sparkly kitchen at our old house. I used to enjoy playing in it a lot. We had to leave our home and where we are now has a kitchen that is nothing like what I had. I really don't enjoy being in there at all and found I lost my interest in playing in the kitchen when we moved. It still makes me sad sometimes. Big hugs 💗
