what has happened with Smiling Gecko? I went to return a post to them and I can't find their user name. I know you're not able to give specifics but can you at least let me know if they are no longer on the forum?

This is the most frustrating thing about Sane, when a contributor leaves or is banned we aren't allowed to know. Is there a reason that you can't just say "XYZ is no longer on the Sane forums." You can even specify that no discussion is to be entered into etc.

Hi @ENKELI  @StuF I know that this can be really disconcerting and distressing to not see the username of a forums friend, it's completely understandable to be frustrated and confused. 

Unfortunately the reason why we're not able to provide any details comes down to our focus on privacy and cultivating an environment where members are free to come and go as needed without any pressure to inform others. 

I acknowledge it is a really difficult situation, and it can be natural to wonder, but we encourage you all to focus on the members who are here and avoid speculation which can lead to worry.
