Dopamine the reward neurotransmitter hormone.
Retired athletes are notorious for addiction. Always chasing that dopamine high they got while playing and training.
They don’t pause and think. They react. Because they are trained to react and rely on instinct.
Alcohol and smoking wouldn’t be giving you the same satisfaction.
@Bill16 how did you pull yourself out of that addiction to gear?
