@StuF sorry to hear you are in psychological and mental pain and are experiencing suffering. Your story matters to us. I think events from the past can certainly stir the pot a bit when we least expect it. Its one of the reasons why psychologists want their patients stabilised on meds before doing therapy. I don't think hospitals are a good place to be in especially if you can have caretaking done at home and visited by what we have in Victoria known as CATT teams. I don't know how unwell you are but you could talk to your parents and just have extra supports in place at home and don't make demands of yourself. It sounds to me you come from a nice family. Maybe just enjoy a quiet space at home with some quiet time, proper caretaking and healthful retreat. I hope you will be ok. You know the pain will eventually go. I'm sorry your mind is in turmoil but allow yourself to settle and reach out to folks you can trust. I look forward to hearing from you soon ❤️

Hey @Former-Member
Thanks
You're right about my home. I'm very lucky (and grateful) to have a nice (wonderful) family. Ma and Pa are away at the moment, but I will talk with them once they return on the weekend.
I'm not rushing to hospital - nothing that acute is happening right now anyway - but the hospital I would be going to is very nice (if that is possible) and I am familiar with it. But yeah, don't want to go in if I can avoid it.
Anyway, thanks again 🙂
