Sucks about your scales @Former-Member
I must say I steer quite clear of Kogan these days. Not had the best of luck...mind you, I've not bought a lot from them anyway. Were they 'brand name' scales?

I don't know @StuF I contacted the seller and only his name seems to be listed. Our old scales from the 1960's lasted 50 years. These things with digital readouts obviously are designed to break. I don't like what it does for landfill. Got a cloth company coming by tomorrow to pick up some old clothes they can make into cleaning cloths. Found out a year or so ago Salvos etc divert a chunk of it to landfill because the quality of clothing is substandard and not good enough for op shops. Would rather have it remanufactured recycled and woven into cloths. The only other option is donating to a women's refuge for women fleeing domestic violence

Hello @StuF they still make mechanical scales. Saw this on ebay. Might be in with more luck. Our scales from the 1960s were mechanical. Don't know how sturdy these are lol
