@TAB I bought some gluten free Lauke breadmix last year. I can't eat it now would you believe as its high in carbs. Like 30g carbs for one slice! The bread I make is 5g carbs. Its a low carb bread option but it doesn't rise very well. But good for making a slim sandwich! lol I might have to take it to a food charity or something

Yes used to love Cher in the 80's. Anyway thats her new Xmas anthem released from her recent album. Half the songs are original the other half are covers. I won't be buying it but thought I'd have a listen.

Thanks @TAB yes I was shocked when I saw how many carbs were in it!  Counting carbs has been a big piece in the puzzle for my weight management. I never used to count carbs. Even rice milk for eg is loaded with carbs which I had no idea about until I was told. Here's the bread I bake, its gluten, nut and dairy free. Only 5g carbs!!! I'm looking to add all kinds of grains to my bread but don't know where to source them yet.

Just jumping in here to totally agree with the fibre thing @TAB @Former-Member 

I take fibre supps and am lucky enough to eat plenty of fruit and veg, but I reckon I'm nowhere near the daily recommended amount. 30g is a Lot!

Yes fibre is a biggie with diabetes as getting gummed up with your plumbing is an issue lol Sorry tmi 😩 But yeah I like doing my own bread as its dairy free. I looked into Atkins sometime this year. It was great the only problem was full of gluten. Its hard finding low carb gluten free options. I checked it out at NQR as they were selling them for nix. In my previous post I uploaded a picture of a low.carb/gluten.free/dairy.free breadmix from woolies - its what I buy
