Re: Tabaluga's

not sure re electrolytes , seem to be dehydrated today though @SmilingGecko  had a hydralite.

just off to local supermarket for something a bit more palatable to eat than whats here.

Mad magazines came up in text conv. now have found and ordered exact one I was thinking of. apparently they reprinted 1950s ones in Specials like 3 times, early 70s, late 70s and one after.

My younger brother sold all my comics and toys after I left home. I was spewing. esp re comics. Mad ones easy to find, Disney ones not, as dift titles, covers for dift countries and reprints for same stories over the years ...

anyway shops now 😁

Re: Tabaluga's

yes, thats my experience re article @SmilingGecko  doesnt get any easier as you get older either lol

Re: Tabaluga's

Yes it certainly gets harder when you get older @TAB. My brother used to collect MAD magazines. They used to be really popular. I used to like Smash Hits.

Here is where I saw the thing on electrolyte deficiency causing oedema in my e-mails. Its an excerpt from an article written by a naturopath.  You may want to cut down on unhealthy fats and do something about your gut biome going by what it says here

Re: Tabaluga's

cant see it yet @SmilingGecko  yes my gut not a happy place atm, well on and off. think last lot of meds taking have something to do with that

Re: Tabaluga's

@TAB @StuF @Bill16 hey cool friends, friend turned up. We had fish and chips and cakes . Went for walk around the city. Was very hot. Came home. Smashed a zero. Got air con on ha. Hope you're all well.

Re: Tabaluga's

@TAB Yes my Z*****a medication messes with my gut. I have to take a probiotic as my med gets rid of good bacteria. I have heard of other meds impacting on gut health. I used to drink fermented drinks like kombucha, kefir and eat sauerkraut but the sauerkraut had salt content and the kombucha had caffeine so cut them out due to high BP. The supermarkets sell them all.

Re: Tabaluga's

Hello @Meowmy you've had a fun day, glad to hear you are coasting along well! I did not walk today. Am learning how to make my own anti-aging hyaluronic/Vit C serum to save money.  I can't afford the ones from ebay that have clean ingredients made by companies that promote natural living. Its easy enough - you buy the hyaluronic powder, add distilled water and shake vigorously and refrigerate until it forms a gel. You then separately just dissolve vitamin C in it when you are about to apply it. Thats it! So it will be my birthday gift to myself as I'm turning 54 next week.

Re: Tabaluga's

.. supposed to rinse sauerkraut @SmilingGecko  i never do tho lol

think most of problem atm is cold and flu meds, which are gone now and metabolism pills.

plus any change in diet seems to upset things while they are re setting. diverticulitis does not help

Re: Tabaluga's

Had a friend with diverticulitis, its not very pleasant @TAB my intestines are ok thankfully.  All these hurdles yeah?  My diabetes educator is still pressing me that I have to keep up with my efforts. I don't know how I'm going to meet her requirements. Its quite gruelling. Have starting drinking warm water instead of cold water. Have heard with ayurveda you can trim down even more this way with warm water so here I go. I've just about had enough. I have no neuropathy in my feet anymore and my blood glucose is stable but she wants me to try harder.
