Re: Tabaluga's

Yes I did see that a while ago and thought they were a good idea but you have to add boiled water to the meal for it to cook I think.  But its incredible the way it cooks food. They use them in developing countries and now its in the western world @TAB

Re: Tabaluga's

Wow! Do you have a link @TAB for the cooking device?  If not, don't worry. I will look into it in future but not straight away as mercury is retrograde.  I have these: <images> An EcoZoom and a Solar cooker.  Just some ideas if the power fails. I bought the EcoZoom from ebay and the solar cooker from Survival Supplies Australia several years ago.

Re: Tabaluga's

Thank-you.  I will check it out @TAB. I use all kinds of no tech stuff if the grid fails.  Back 20 years ago we had a gas crisis in Victoria, there was no gas supply and people could not shower, cook etc. I was in hospital at the time so we had back up at the hospital. But on the radio people were doing roasts in electric skillets and being enterprising in their neighborhoods getting people to pay to use their bathroom for showering etc.
