LOL @Adge they say there's nothing a bit of duct tape can't fix - here we have it holding levels of our native bee hive together!
@Owlunar you sound like you had a ball with the buskers. When my mum was 74 we went to a steam-punk festival that my nephew's band was playing at - had a wonderful day, we were the first to get up and dance!
@TAB I was involved with someone who went to the pub every day from work and was def part of the scene, turned out to be a total playa but that's another story. I don't miss those days at all.
@Bunniekins I always had the impression you got on well with ex. Hope you get through today ok with him around.
Hi @Bimby2 @Scarecrowe (again)
Sorry it took me a while to get back. Had an invite from a very close friend (my bestie) to her 60th - 3 nights in a resort near the gold coast - so I've been pricing it out and I think it's totally doable. Only 5 weeks after the trip I've booked and paid for already for her partner's 70th (on New Years Eve), but hey these special gatherings are one offs, and it will be wonderful to meet her other close friends. Will put the 2nd one on my credit card and pay it off over a few months I think. So exciting! I've been saying for years that I'd like to recover my gypsy (in safe ways). Feeling really good about them including me in their special times too.
