all I can think of is its too much for it trying to work flat out like that when room already hot.
What have seen in 'tradie' posts on fb is #1 cheapest option w a/c is to replace. fair enough get diagnosed incase something simple but if compressor etc may as well throw it away , apparently worth a bit for scrap now @plasmo

ive got split that was here when moved in 6 years old maybe, unit outside looks filthy on fins plus in worst spot for sun, but works a treat, prob better than 1 yo one in bedroom similar capacity. makes me wonder, they bolted it down to path which isnt level, maybe I should loosen bolts off and pack it up . sposed to be level, not sure how much allowed @plasmo

filter can make a difference if ban enought to effect air flow @plasmo its more the cooling fins on actual unit, mine look dirty, so less air gets around it. might hose it down once heat gone. i had trouble heating w older one . googled it, said valve could be stuck. it came good eventually. cant have been used on heat for a long time/ever. anyway, touch wood, but think get both serviced before next summer, but get quotes first.

might check tv. stumbled onto Waterfront this afternoon, hadnt seen before, hope he didnt get oscar for that dont think he can act lol, reminded me of Rocky in parts ha ha
