Hello again @Former-Member. I hope your day has picked up a bit. I really feel for you in your 'struggle'. I really wish I could do something to help you along....thankyou so very much for your kind & enthusiastic words. You should know I appreciate them lots & lots....now, went to music store today. Had bliss n esso in my mind somewhere......& what's the FIRST CD I spot...............................'day of the dog'. Bought it & 'the positions'. Listened to b n e in car on way home.....then listened to 'the diving bell' at home..........which was totally different to the 2013 YouTube clip of guy & his guitar I heard last night, which I really like. Call me really dumb but they seemed to be completely different songs, sound & lyrics....not sure if its me or what!.......b n e was 'interesting', quite different to what I'm used to...quite good driving.....will listen to them both more in time. They were both cheap so no damage...thanks for your computer offer, brought a little good tear.You have a big heart. I hope your PHaMs session tomorrow is a good one.........wishing you better days ahead. Take good care ooooo

I'm so sorry @comet. The songs I really liked were their later stuff and more political like the sea is rising (climate change) and a bullet and a target (from their African tour)

Hi Teej. Sorry for delay. Only read emails about 2.45 today. If you saw my earlier post (now deleted) this afternoon sorry if I am repeating myself now.....you have absolutely nothing to be sorry about. I cannot stress that enough!! Its my fault for not doing some research......Please understand that!.....its only a cheap CD which I can easily choose not to listen to.....am very sorry for my less than favourable critique...........sounds like they've now become more 'aware'. Please look after yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!oooo

I'm so excited to have discovered Eva Cassidy. Eva Cassidy was a superb singer and guitarist, mostly sang cover songs in jazz clubs in USA. She was truly unique, she sang jazz, soul, folk, gospel, and the blues. She sang with true emotion and made each song her own. Sadly she died in 1996. She was only regognised for her amazing talent five years after she passed away. I simply can't get enough of this songbird's magical voice and have been watching her on U-tube, old footage of her performing. Check her out, she was truly an outstanding artist.

Thanks april for your comments on Eva Cassidy. Sadly died too young but left a beautiful legacy of

songs with her distinctive vocals. Love her 'Somewhere over the Rainbow' so different from Judy Garland's

Yes, Eva's version of Somewhere over the Rainbow is just beautiful. My favourite song is Nightbird, not sure who the original artist was. Wow! How she sings this song! Touches the soul...

I will certainly be trying to buy some her CD's, I just couldn't bear not to add her music to my collection.

Music is an amazing catharsis for me for pain... I write a lot myself, and am a singer, pianist, oboist, and singing teacher... Getting lyrics and sounds out vocally is a huge release, and the recording process appeals to my obsessive tendencies as well.
Being able to have a final, finished product to file away helps some of that negative stuff to be let go of, at least for a while.

My latest rehearsal obsession is Pergolesi's Stabat Mater... Hugely therapeutic and extremely difficult! Loving it!
