Re: Lunar Eclipse Party

Hiya @Former-Member. You've become an amazingly active member of this forum family already. Lovely seeing you around.

Re: Lunar Eclipse Party

@Owlunar - I can still see a small tiny round moon. But I'm going to put my glasses on. Just so I can see what everyone else is really seeing

Re: Lunar Eclipse Party

@Owlunar - glasses on. Ok. It's just the top part visible. My mind must have made the moon look round. Amazing

Re: Lunar Eclipse Party

Wow. The moon is a very bright orangey yellow now.

Re: Lunar Eclipse Party

Hi @Former-Member - great to see you here

@utopia- it's a good idea to wear your glasses - tee hee - I cleaned mine to see better

And @Zoe7

@Sans911- it is great that we can see this 3 hours apart

It;s 12.15 am and the moon is darker - nearly lost sight of the lower right corner

Re: Lunar Eclipse Party

@Owlunar. At first I just see the top part of the moon. But the longer I look - it appears perfectly round and full. Just tiny.
But the stars in my part of Victoria are stunning tonight. Shining very brightly. It's definitely a full sky.

Re: Lunar Eclipse Party

It's getting darker and smaller @utopia - this must be the lack of earth light or something- I will check this out tomorrow

It's 12.22 am now and those stars - to the west of the moon is the full constellation of Orion and west of that - setting now - is Taurus

Re: Lunar Eclipse Party

Looks like I'm seeing an orange planet moved close to earth. I can still see the full circle of the moon

Re: Lunar Eclipse Party

I can't see Taurus @Owlunar. Too many trees to see the horizon. But I have the Milky way right above my head. It's a gorgeous sight to see
