She sums up good points.
I often identified as a tomboy and often defend male points of view. My bottom line is that we share being human and that is more than sex differences.
I also doubt I would have survived at all, without my love of early feminist writers, they gave me something to engage with the narrow self serving religious attitudes of my mother.
I am wary of Us and Them talk, or making the 'other' an enemy, and definitely against the new saying... a war on ... x,y,z. War and enemies are serious things and should not be taken lightly.
Yet I am a woman and it has taken me a long time to be able to stand proud and tall.
I like this lady ... about learning to wish and dream ...

Hi @HenryX It's ok if you can't reply. I hope you are enjoying your day. Not alot happening here today. Having a lovely quiet day on my own. Daughter has gone away for the weekend and hubby is out. Washing done, just relaxing.
Found out something today that was a huge shock, there's never a dull moment in life.
I struggle with complex post traumatic stress disorder etc, so life can be a struggle for me. I found a good doctor recently and the medication seems to be working. Amazing really. It's the first time in my whole life that a doctor has been able to help me. He's young, yet knows so much and is so kind and understanding. Such a relief.
I hope your day goes well. 😊

Amazing @Emelia8 💖
I can't believe it myself. I wish I could mention the name of the medication to you. I've tried soooooo many. They made me feel worse. Now I wake up and feel like doing things. Before I would wake up and think, I wish I didn't wake up. I still need to work on the alcohol. Ugh! Not so easy.
Are you ok today? Probably a silly question.

Nice TedX talk @HenryX . Reminded me of this recent development in the gender movement.....
There’s been notable trend that most people look up International Men's Day during International Women's Day and then arguing about it on the internet.
….Then….
The UN 2020 Tweeted “Happy #InternationalMensDay to all the male allies around the world who support women, defy gender roles, fight gender-based violence & stand up for equality.”
…and this year…..
“One of the six pillars of International Men’s Day is to improve gender relations and promote gender equality not only for men but for women too. In this light our theme for 2021 is “Better relations between men and women.””

It is with much pleasure, that I extend my appreciation to all the members who have participated in the activity of the thread and contributed their thoughts, ideas and sometimes their concerns.
As I have said previously, I would like this thread to be a place where people can feel welcome to have discussions about what is on their mind at any given time. I believe that the style of the thread is one that may even offer, at times, a sense of sanctuary, while topics of interest can be discussed as well as topics of concern, during times of anxiety, stress or distress and other issues relating to mental health, when they arise.
During some of the previous posts in this thread, I have claimed a place and style for this thread that distinguishes it from other already existing threads. Not to say it is better, worse or more of something or otherwise, but simply to offer an alternative to what already exists within the forum site.
I am aware, that the way I write probably doesn't suit everyone. That is possibly another good reason for this thread to, in some way, remain as such. That allows people who wish to engage in the style, and participate, to continue to do so. Sometimes all of the material may seem like a lot to handle. Generally, when I am writing, I try to section or separate the material in a way that makes sense within each section of a post. In this way it is easy to select a section, or suggested video and work on each, in whatever way that is comfortable for you. It is important to me that members are able to go back to a topic or discussion and reread, review or simply check on some aspect that was discussed, if they wish to, without the necessity of combing through lots of pages of material in the current social media style that, to me, seems to offer little in any way that I can follow or feel comfortable. If I feel that way, then there may be others who do also.
This is not an issue of right or wrong. Some people spend a lot of their time on social media and chat sites and feel very comfortable in that environment. That is evidently how they enjoy communicating. However, it is not a style or type of communication or correspondence that I enjoy, or get very much from. So for the benefit of others, who feel the same way, I would like to protect the style of this thread.
With My Most Sincere Care, Concern and Best Wishes

@HenryX and everyone I cannot write long posts due to my shaking hands brought on by my mood medications so I will be quick. i was reading a news article regarding a indiginous settlement who have been dry for years and are happy to stay that way. Unfortunately the only shop has been sold and bought by some wicked indivual who wants to sell alcohol. Apparently the elders have been to the politicians asking for help. Makes me so angry,
