I've got a Chiro appt late this afternoon, that I have to be able to get to. My back and neck are so painful. Hopefully after an adjustment, I may feel
a bit better physically @MDT
Need to settle & calm down first.

Good afternoon @frog @WIP @MDT @DJMasters @Owlunar @TAB
Hope those sore throats improve. I've worked today - looking forward to 'home time' and end of my working week at 4pm!
@MDT did you mentioned volunteer work - do you mind me asking about it?
I've got my psychiatrist appointment tomorrow and am thinking of sending an email in advance requesting a written plan of future medication plans because I'M SICK OF BEING ON SO MANY MEDS! Some of them have caused other health issues & haven't been typical treatment for depression. Got a 2nd opinion recently which preferred no new insights other than no evidence of diagnosis 1st psychiatrist leans towards but agrees there is little evidence of .... ho hum .... hopefully psychologist, schema therapy etc will be useful. Anyone else ever frustrated with narrowness of Medical model??!'

I have always found counting-our-blessing rather hackneyed @MDT
But taking pleasure in small things is positive - and right now we have heavy rain in Melbourne and I can hear the local magpies rejoicing in their lack of social distancing and I love their calls
My son used to call them the orkle-arkle birds - so apt
I have been swooped at this time of year and know to keep out of their nesting areas - these local birds seem to know their place and don't swoop -
Some simple and some great memories here Hamza

We locals know the social distancing rules so enjoy our music

Hi @Sam3
I think it's a good idea to give your Psychiatrist a written submission of how your medication is affecting you and request information of any plans he has for the future and even take consideration into what you think might help
It depends on what kind of practitioner he is but I have found it helpful with my pain specialist - I have started writing extra notes for him letting him know how the procedures and medication have helped or not -
Otherwise how can they know - unless it is written down in advance and understood by both patient and doctor things can get forgotten - so an email or better still - take a typed note if possible with you so you can see if he reads it - I have found that to be better
It can only help you in your treatment to have some control over the situation
And I hope it works well for you

Enjoy those orkle-arkle birds @Owlunar - love that term - I wonder if he also remembers using it?! Thanks

Thanks heaps for your considered response @Owlunar I'll go ahead with my plan & try not to be too disgruntled/annoyed with the predictable & narrow content of the consultation "How are you? .... medication.." He always adds to the consultation time & cost by dictating a letter to my GP with me present. Anyone else experience that with a private psychiatrist? @MDT @WIP @DJMasters @Ant7
Bizarrely he often says "Good to see you as always" ... perhaps I could charge him??!!! However, As my allied health friend says "You're not the easiest patient"!
