Going to be doing Cert IV mental health peer work. Hope it goes well. I have crashed and burned with study before because of the stress. It’s only a 12 month course. Should be fine as long as I don’t put too much pressure on myself.

That does sorta ring a bell @Oaktree was to do with peer worker thing?
If where you go is any good they should try and make any 'reasonable adjustments' necessary to help you get through

It’s a well known tafe and they do have an office to go to to get adjustments for disabilities or conditions

Hi @avant-garde sitting with you, and here if you want to talk about what's got you feeling this way ❤️

Stupid naive church people who don't know what trauma, triggers or recovery look like... I wish they knew how foolish their comments are...
I mean "I hope you still had a peaceful day"
You put someone who coercively controlled me, lied to me, stole from me for the better part of a year in the same room as me! What about any of that sounds peaceful!!!
*grips my knees and keeps crying*

Oh I'm sorry @avant-garde what a frustrating interaction, it sounds as though it has really been playing on your mind.
If this comment truly was from a place of not understanding, do you feel as though there might be opportunity to let them know why a comment like that wasn't helpful given the situation, even if it's just a brief conversation to try to prevent it from happening in the future?
For now, is there something that you can do for yourself this evening to show yourself a bit of extra care? It sounds like it's been a hard day
