Going alright thanks @SmilingGecko
Same weather as last few days, so doing a lot isn't on the cards.
Glad your emotional healing worked out!

Thats good @StuF yes it is a bit hot now. Not doing physical exertion in hot weather is recommended. Just enjoy more passive days while the hot weather lingers.

@SmilingGecko @StuF where are you located? I'm in Perth and it's 39 degrees at present.
What do y'all do in hot weather? I am feeling better mentally and usually take a walk to take in my surroundings but can't at the moment with the heat. I'm trying to find things to do to stop from feeling bored and the like.
Thanks 🙂

It's more the humidity @SmilingGecko
Hovering in the 70's during the day and getting higher at night! I break a sweat just thinking about going outside lol
I mean, this is actually kinda typical here for this time of year, but being typical don't make it suck any less!
Obviously, first world problem lol

Hey @ENKELI
Yeah, sucks when can't go for a walk!
I'm in Sydney, so not the same heat as you guys, but yeah, too humid to do much. Unfortunately I seem unable to establish a routine of getting up early to walk

Hello @ENKELI I'm located in Melbourne, its not as hot as some other regions. I sit in my room with aircon on and bamboo blinds/foil on windows, verticals drawn. Its cooler today, 23 degrees. But the rest of this week was hot. Normally I would go for a walk but its just too uncomfortable to go outside. Light clothing. Just plenty of water, electrolytes and spritzing myself with aloe water (which has cooling properties). Having nothing dehydrating like caffeine and having cool light meals. At night I sleep on a cooling gel mat

Wanted to share this supermarket variety chilled and cooling chrysanthemum tea. This chrysanthemum tea is VERY cooling to the body, even menopausal women use it for hot flushes and one review I read said the woman in question got a lot of relief from just drinking chrysanthemum tea because it totally cooled her down.
I first read about this tea in a book by a TCM practitioner. Unlike soft drinks that are really dehydrating in hot weather this tea will make you feel soooo lovely and cool. I noticed in years gone by they don't seem to stock it anymore at supermarkets. They may however in some places. Quite possibly on Amazon. Its called Yeo's brand but you can get it from any Asian supermarket generally. Keep it in your fridge to quench your thirst and stay away from dehydrating soft drinks. I was told westerners have no idea how to keep cool so I gave up carbonated drinks
Here is a picture of what it looks like and how its sold. Sometimes it comes in tetra packs but you'll know it when you see it. Check for allergies. Have read if you are allergic to ragweed or daisies you should not have it.
I just bought some loose chrysanthemum tea and will make several cups and add a sugar substitute and chill in the fridge in a jug for hot days. The flowers seem to break apart easily so you really need to put them in a tea ball.
Anyway here's the tea.

@StuF I know what you mean about getting up early. When I am working I start early so unless I get up at 4am I don't have the time. And when like now I'm not working I am too lazy to get up early. I lost my motivation when I started on meds so I have to really force myself to do anything. I think that's a common side effect isn't it?
Sydney humidity is sucky, it's worse than straight heat. I lived up north in Broome at one time and I was tired all the time at first with it being so hot and humid. Fortunately everywhere up there is air conditioned so it's not so bad. I remember the temp in my car getting up to 50 degrees in the shade at one stage.

Thanks @SmilingGecko
I am willing to try anything to cool down. I can't find the tea at Coles and I don't shop at Woollies so I might order online. Asian Pantry in Melbourne stocks it for $1.20 a can and they deliver to Perth.
Again, thank you 🙂
