@tonys she may just have to buy her own portable aircon when she has the funds. I know she has not got much money right now. Several years ago during a heatwave they had footage of housing commission high rises and how they were literal hotboxes in heated weather. The news reporters showed no compassion and looked at people as if to say why can't they buy a portable aircon unit themselves? They had no insight into disadvantage. I reckon @saturnzoon will just have to try and get financial counselling to find her way out of her situation and just go to cafes/RSL's/libraries like I did for 10 years until I could afford aircon. I had mine subsidised by the gov't but had to have my meterbox ripped out. You won't get any compassion from those higher up as they are very hard lined. They expect you to survive on very little and not spend a cent on anything unless its an essential item.

I hear you on that @SmilingGecko . I get hot just reading Satz posts though. Upsets me bigtime.. I do agree with you though. I'm just one of those blokes that's always thinking, doing something is always better than doing
nothing, . . . . which is probly why I chalk up so many failures. Now n then I do have a big win and its always when I least expect. I would invite someone from the media, ABC or current affair, to try and spend a 30 degree night at your place @saturnzoon ..
Try and make a video doco and give it to everyone. Spray on sweat , fake dead pets n plants, kidding..
doctors opinions. Point out in your letters to paper n pollies that that air conditioning is cheaper to the tax payer than lost productivity
and hospital and Medicare.
I wonder how much violence , abuse , mental health issues, sissle on the sword edge of a degree.. or a full moon. . .
Home safe @TAB .. good mate.. good.
@Glisten Bet you look spiffy in supervisor mode. How the woman's shed going mate .
Ok back to the grind. Take care everyone. @StuF @Oaktree @Meowmy tonys
