Re: Good Morning!

Under Stalin, Russian Gulags were the same @tonys.  Its interesting what you were saying about crop yields. I wonder if its to do the seeds they have now or the soil.

Re: Good Morning!

@Appleblossom   and  @Former-Member  get together in a bomb shelter for 6 months.    There just has to be a whole best selling book right there.    You pair singularly,  are amazing.    Put together,   I want to be the fly on the wall.

Hey,   any one seen that movie     whale with Brendan Fraser.   Hard to watch,  me and the nurse sobbed at the end,  and we are watching it again.  Brilliant acting and script.

Re: Good Morning!

Yes that is the book @Appleblossom! San Francisco streets are full of idle people shooting up drugs and walking around in a daze outside makeshift tents. I wouldn't be surprised if there was sanitation issues with people and animals. A lot of the major cities around the world you are seeing this now. @TAB saw it outside the caravan park he was once in.

Re: Good Morning!

Nite @tonys

Re: Good Morning!

Its the heat @Former-Member  .  Plants respirate more to keep themselves cool.  The  "brix"  content in the leaves is often lower,  so storage,  transport, and quality on the shelf is more tricky.

I was getting increased yields and sales and returns,  but the quality was ever so slightly on the decrease for many of the high sugar content,  fruit and veg crops.    The speed of change is outstripping evolution.

Even with mans help.     It take a lot less energy to keep greenhouse crops warm than it does to

keep them cool.   The broad acre boys are still ok but rapid growth  high tech greenhouse crops, . . .

well lets just say I'm quitting  while I still have my shirt.

To be clear though,   Its not the  Co 2.    WE  actually pipe it in at 800 ppm to accelerate brix accumulation.   There just comes a point when heat becomes a limiting growth factor and in my game

yield per  square metre is critical..  If populations increase,  and they will,   its the kids that will feel it.

Large areas of the oceans are dead.  The sea water is acidifying and its warming up.   Its going to take a bit more than a few scientists to fix trillions of tonnes of ocean. . .  But worrying about it wont fix it either.        Que sera sera. . .

OK  back to movie but look forward to more on all this stuff tomorrow.   Sweet dreams  SG     tones
