@saturnzoon your story is very familiar and not uncommon. I have been thinking of you and am glad you mentioned your situation more fully. I was wondering how you were getting by as you are in a genuine situation of hardship.
Have you heard of Fare Share, Oz Harvest and Food Bank? They are massive organisations that are Australia-wide that provide free food. They supply free fruit and vegetables in addition to free pantry and chilled items.
They have large premises and refrigerated delivery trucks and even buses that come to your suburb. It has to be seen to be believed. They are not the old charities that once was but rather professional enterprises. There are also some that deliver to you if you have mobility issues and can't leave your home.
Please look them up, they are incredible ventures. They are the main standout organisations I know of. I have had to get food relief several times in my life in years gone by and I was very grateful. There are other smaller ones.
You could ring your local Citizens Advice Bureau for something more local if you want to look into that.
I hope you will be ok. Please check out the websites I gave you and get some food for christmas
I don't want you going without FOOD!

Thats good @TAB glad you were able to get food relief. I do love Ronnie the CEO of Ozharvest. Shes a social entrepreneur and I've seen her in action. An incredible face to an amazing organisation. Its good to know people like her exist in the world. She has big black glasses and short cropped hair with layers of tribal jewellery. Thats her signature. But most of all she is genuine and has a big open heart @saturnzoon

Thank you @TAB @SmilingGecko I will look up those places, I have been to the food bank once before and they were lovely, but I haven't heard of the others so I'll check them out.
@greenpea thank you, I do take meds at night time which are spose to help me but I think we must get used to them cause they don't work so well now and my psychiatrist won't change my medication, I have trouble falling asleep then sometimes I wake during the night, my normal is about 5 hours all up and I'm also a light sleeper so my dog's and cat or other noises wake me up as well.

Thats nice of you to do that @TAB ❤️ I squeezed in a walk this afternoon. My knees are no longer stiff but instead very fluid now. Could probably be a contortionist the way I'm going lol. I need to do resistance bands consistently. I think I've lost a lot of muscle over the years. Do you have any idea on how to regain muscle at my age? Just wondering.
Have a nice evening @greenpea @saturnzoon @Glisten @Historylover

@SmilingGecko When the demand is high, my electricity company offers $5 off the bill for reduced usage for an hour. I think it is a pittance until I get a bill and find that two reductions have reduced my bill by $10 and that's no longer a pittance. I'm always grateful for it.
Well, I was talking to my lovely neighbour and, yes, she has a beau. I know she'll move before long and that makes me sad, but I just want her to be happy. She mentioned that she suffers depression. Life is tough for so many good folk. I don't know what I'll do without her. Her presence is such a comfort to me even though we can go months without a chat.
