Re: Good Morning!

@ENKELI a tadpole with a sense of direction does NOT make a father.

Re: Good Morning!

Hey everyone @ENKELI @Glisten @TAB @SmilingGecko @Oaktree ,

Humid here. Feels like a sauna... rain, sun, rain, lightning, rain, heat....

What's next in the weather pattern?? (What pattern? lol)

Re: Good Morning!

Hello @tyme yes here in Melbourne is a bit like that right now. The searing heat and humidity is now coolish with light rain. The day started off ok with lots of cloud build up in the sky and turned into a hot day around mid day. Felt sorry for my lawnmower man but he's from Bali so possibly able to weather the heat more than some people

@ENKELI thats no good re: your father's comments. I bet he stuffed up in his life but wouldn't be so candid about it. Maybe hes just angry you have a mental illness. Things do go wrong but it would be nice if folk were less to do with squaring the blame on someone and just supporting them instead without judgement. I don't know your circumstances but that is certainly a callous thing to say even if it were true. Life just happens, there are all kinds of factors that come into play impinging on someones life path. Condemning someone isn't a great idea. What about being more subjective towards why someone has arrived at a certain juncture in life and dropping the blame and judgement and exercising tolerance and caring? Is that too hard to ask for?

Re: Good Morning!

Same re humidity @tyme

Re: Good Morning!

@SmilingGecko that's the beauty of it all, I was diagnosed with hereditary clinical depression. Inherited from my father God love him. He also suffers from PTSD so you'd think he'd be a little more compassionate.

He's the kind of man who should never had children.
It's been a difficult relationship but I thought we had finally got to a place where we could have a real relationship. 20 years ago he disowned me because his 3rd wife didn't like me therefore he didn't want me either.

He asked how come I can't hold a job or keep friends. He then said this may sound harsh but I don't understand why these things keep happening to you. He then reminded me how he had given me money whereas my sister always pays back money he gives her.
I should have kept my mouth shut but I shot back with the fact I resigned was to care for him and that I will pay back every cent he has given me.
Maybe I should remind him of the $700 I wasted buying an plane ticket that I had to cancel because he changed his mind about coming to see him in NSW.

Re: Good Morning!

@tyme  Today’s weather forecast 🙌🏼 Everything 🌦🌈🌞

Re: Good Morning!

@Glisten ha ha love it! A friend of mine used to refer to him as the s***m donor. Most of my life that's pretty much all he's been

Re: Good Morning!

@ENKELI  some people  …  are in complete denial.

Re: Good Morning!

In regards to your fathers comments about not keeping friendships you may be a bit of an outsider, lacking a sense of belonging. But gifts can come from that which I think gives people a unique perspective on how to think critically and from different angles. Its a shame that your dad does not embrace this about you. By not fully identifying with groups or people you can go beyond the ingrained patterns of collective consciousness and have an affinity for trends that can actually benefit people. You may not be interested in small talk or fairweather friendships and that is ok. Its may be hard cultivating meaningful friendships that are aligned with your identity. Its a difficult task embracing uniqueness while also fostering genuine connection with others @ENKELI

Re: Good Morning!

@TAB check out this latest AI robot released recently. Its a little bit confronting but the technology is improving rapidly.  Watch the video they supplied to the very end
