Psychiatrists are almost out of reach financially these days @MDT nobody can afford them. If you are shelling out cash for something that has not necessarily helped you then it probably is a good idea to terminate the relationship like you said. I was seeing a psychiatrist specifically for medicine management with my med that caused diabetes but in the end she told me she could not take me off the drug after bankrolling medicare for two years!!! I was not getting anything out of the relationship and had to cut it off for other reasons which I won't go into here. She had moved from interstate and was struggling to set up a practice from her home.

What @Former-Member said ... @MDT re seeing shrinks. Mine is a necessity atm but when we are in a position to let go of him I may. Actually now I think of it, I might request bigger times between sessions as a start. Already titrated down to a GPs allowed prescribing. Use any advice or useful connection as you need. Maybe with your sister you saw things in a medical framework a bit more than really necessary for you. You seem like a gorgeous young man with plenty of reflectiveness and thoughtfulness and vision and drive. Good catch. Go for it Mate.
Also @Former-Member love your grunge boots .... ... tho ... maybe not as good as my field trip boots I bought in 1983 at Victoria Market... hee hee
@Shaz51 @Historylover @StuF @Glisten
@saturnzoon Hope you are home alright after the heart scare. Gently Bently
@hanami thanks for laughing with me ... I was norty and having a bet both ways on the B and Bs. Dunno wots happened to me. SInce I spat me dummy, getting cheekier by the day ...
@tonys I reckon you might be what the doctor ordered mate ... re the public's mental health,
Mind you we need to admit we cant please em all ... but some, some of the time is worth it.
Hey and guess what my dad knew Ron Barassi! Yay! News of the funeral made me think of conversations we had in the 1960s.

Yes that is so true @Appleblossom . I smear on a smile n strut the street with a stocking full of good intentions, and thats the limits of my reach. To find a fit with the mainstream throng on the street is a big challenge for someone with autism. But thats the juice hey. If I get just one smile back. Well
that would be for a normal person, a standing ovation. My worlds very simple. Its not about the many. Just the one. Small goals, one by one, be grateful for the bruises. That'll do..
When we're not on top, a delusion of that feeling passes muster, . . with a little effort. and there's always tomorrow.
So, hope you had a good day Appleblossom. @Former-Member @Glisten @StuF @Historylover @TAB .. and all
Mine was . . . wonderful .. with a wink.. tonys

Hi @Historylover .. No mate, I have laboured through a handful of books, and wish I had the attention span, the joy of reading deserves, But , I'm ashamed to say its one of my choice pics as a sleep stratagy. I think its a part of my condition. Yes I see the value of education shine through the the words of many contributors and as you know admire and depend on those with education.
May I ask what you, do. . did.. Its nice to a have a full picture. Helps me understand the threads to a mans cable.
We're all clinging to a ledge. . looking down. That cables all we got sometimes.
Have an easy eve Historylover. tonys
