@Appleblossom , have you had a tribunal hearing and how did it go?
I've figured that you're about 63. Am I close?

@Historylover Yes to 63. I told you on other thread.
I have never had a tribunal for me, but attended 2 as a carer for my son.
For myself I was told after an ED admission when I was 17 to be proactive about my mental health (because of my early history and parents' diagnoses) and seek help and I always have. Mostly I sought a gp referral to a psychiatrist from time to time. I pursued a couple of therapies diligently through private means through the 1980s, and learned to meditate back then. I also completed various courses and trainings. However, the amount of people with serious diagnoses in my immediate family was high and so took a toll on me. I have not even been in an inpatient unit, but not for want of need or trying... however the last kerfuffle and BS stringalong experiences promising me time in a rehab unit, then pulling out last minute ... ... they said they had nothing to offer me and I was better off at home.
I probably care more about my son's welfare than my own, it has been pretty intense for me even as a carer. I have been aware of his various ongoing tribunals which he mostly wanted to manage himself, but he realised it might be helpful to have me there for the last 2 so I went with him. I was not impressed and have posted about it in on the forum ... somewhere.
Good luck with yours.

I do vaguely recall you telling me your age, in fact, I think that's why I told you mine. Told you I have a terrible memory. I did remember the number though, so not a complete memory fail. My first born is 53, second born is 52. Time flies when you're having fun.
I'm not worried about the tribunal now. I just don't want to be in the same room as my adversaries. But it will be a new experience and I'm all for them.
Have a good weekend.
