They are the best days to go for a run. You come home feeling like you conquered Everest. 😁

Re: Good Morning!

I follow astrology and the moon today is in Mrigasira Nakshatra and its good for buying jewellery in vedic astrology - its highly favored in that part of the sky.

The only problem the moon is void of course in the tropical western zodiac which means normally when you buy under a void of course moon you regret your purchase UNLESS its a dirt cheap thrift shop purchase which turns out to be an absolute value for money bargain that exceeds your expectations.

Had a poke around salvosstores.com.au and got these. I think they look great! I think I got something that I will love.

FYI the moon is void of course (ie between zodiac signs until 3pm this afternoon) So if you want a bit of a pick-me-up lift then maybe head off to your local thrift shop to grab an understated bargain before 3pm!  Be mindful of price. Just get something the cheapest possible or you will walk away with buyers regret.

Hey @Little_Leopard 👋🏼 James Cook University offered me a place in Graduate Diploma in Psychology (Bridging) - Don’t laugh. Na you can laugh it’s funny 😁

I don’t want a post grad with a statue’s name on it.

Re: Good Morning!

@Former-Member Hey ... I have noticed a lot of jewellery in opshops these days ... in ye olden daze ... it was not much of a thing ... mainly basics ... but if it makes you happy.  I am lazy ... lol ... too much neck pain ... putting things on and off was not worth the real pain ...about 20 years ago I decided not to wear much jewellery.  So not tempted a lot to buy it.  These days I am a bit better and wore some this week, but easy on and off ... not WORK!

Good Afternoon All

@Former-Member @Patches59 @Little_Leopard @TAB and all reading along ...

Mind you I was up for the morning but did not log on til now. Trying to be good and doing physio and music before I sit and look at a screen.

@Glisten Setting firm boundaries can be a challenge ... is for me ... but yours is an interesting one ... recently had another discussion with a lady who moved from a high status course after a lot of parental pressure ... to a more practical immediate job ready one.  She was worried about massive HECS debt.  Tbh I set similar boundaries last year and the year before and withdrew from courses that were not going to be worth it for me.

Re: Good Morning!

@Glisten We all have to be in touch with what we can or cannot do otherwise we are in a state of overreach. Its great that you are aware of your own mind/body and the messages contained there.  Maybe something more suitable will come up soon?

@Historylover I have been watching a visionary called Gregg Braden on the human potential circuit today. It was a free presentation from The Shift Network. He says we have inculcated the old stories of being powerless, helpless and insignificant in the world for far too long.

He has introduced gamma brainwave techniques to open the heart mind synchronisation to experience our evolutionary selves with extraordinary capabilities such as self healing, a powerful and increased immune response, heightened intuition, incisive decision making, rapid self regulation, longevity extension and more.

By resting in gamma we open the doors to these possibilities as the heart and brain are in proper coherence. Through this coherence its an open door to human potential and all these supernatural endowments become an important facet of ourselves. Its a new model of being human in a world full of competition, survival of the fittest, strife, and fatalistism borne of obsolete Darwinian concepts from a bygone era.

The free discussion can be found here:

https://blog.theshiftnetwork.com/blog/awaken-your-capacity-self-healing-super-perception-and-longer-...

There is a course at the end, its somewhat pricey. I won't be signing up but the free lead-in presentation explains these concepts well. I have been able to unearth a you tube video on heart brain coherence with gamma waves inspired by Gregg Bradens research. I can supply it if you wish 🙂

Re: Good Morning!

Hey @Glisten Just read your response to @Little_Leopard

Love it ... yes it is funny ...

not sure of all your reasons, but I guess you have them.  Tbh I am finding the tertiary education field a bit of a minefield of selling themselves a little too diligently.  And OMG the amount of emails I had, not letting me go from the Masters.... they were the desperate ones ...lol

As a graduate you would have a fair bit of scope for further studies and there is a HUGE field. Part of the thing for me is wanting to be sure I want to follow a narrow field of study for so long and be charged at like a wounded bull.

Yes Good Credentials are worthwhile ... for many reasons .. including professional work and development, but ... I have decided for me this year is about my son and I finding a life worthwhile ... separately ... maybe study another year ,,,, mebe baby!  I am of retirement age so its not such a thing as for younger people.

Good Luck ... whatever ...

Re: Good Morning!

@Appleblossom  Yes! I have an instant recoil from Hard Sell. I was being bombarded with fast talk on the phone and in my head it was Ann-Marie’s Zoom Group session on Values to find your authentic identity.

How do you eat an elephant? One plate at a time.

Re: Good Morning!

Many years ago I started Accounting Certificate at Tertiary which I never finished. After becoming an amputee and taking few months to learn to walk again I lost interest.

Ive always been good with numbers and enjoy that aspect of accounting.  Last year I retired early from toxic work environment.  During last couple years Ive considered applying to go back to Tertiary and undertaking Certificate IV in Accounting, if only for my own benefit.
may be next year …. May be

at the moment my main focus is getting ready to moving house in just over 3 weeks.  Have made as many arrangements as possible so far but still so much to do.  Move on 3 October and have decided to take entire month of October to me to settle in, gradually unpack and generally lots of self care for few weeks
