Yes thats good @TAB, youre right there I heard from a preparedness person that the electrics at water dams can get cyber attacked. I have water containers full of tap water to fill up the loo in case. But yeah think I'll be doing a chemical toilet they use in camping in case of sanitation issues. I suspected there may be attacks on water so have been researching chemical loos this year. Wasn't ready to go ahead and purchase. May buy tomorrow I dunno. Have been putting it off. Do you live anywhere near a drinkable natural spring for drinking water? www.findapring.com Is a world wide database for springs. I used to collect water from a spring when I lived in the other side of Melbourne for drinking. Is "Appia" Springs near you in S.A.? Check the world map, click on oceania and then the springs in S.A.

There are lots of underground pristine water rivers but nobody knows. Can't remember what they are called but theres people who know how to drill for this water. They have something like a bore but its safe clean water unlike water supplies in third world countries where they have contaminated wells full of disease borne microorganisms. I have a straw to drink through in case water gets bad. You can drink out of polluted water lakes and rivers and the straw will get it all out. I think its called a Life Straw @TAB

Yes, we take these services for granted until we lose them, @TAB, @Former-Member . Nothing major has happened to me, other than having no water for a day or two. It turns our world upside down. Always wise to keep life simple, I think.

Yeah I know. Its hard to know whats in lakes and rivers @TAB. I have been talking to someone from a camping store and they were able to discuss chemical toilets. You can store the waste for up to 4 days she said in a special waste bin which you can also get and then take it to what is called a sani-dump spot. Theres a map of your state and you can zoom in to see all the dumping points. There aren't any near me really unless you are a guest only. Other places charge a fee. I will investigate further and write them down on my list of emergency phone numbers.
