We're having a planned outage today. I'm about to go for a walk and switch off the computer. Was checking out fitness pages and I need more weight resistance so invested in one of these. Was at a plateau with weightloss but with weighted vests you burn more kilojoules. Needed to challenge my body a bit more. So I will be walking around in one of these doozies. Have a great day everyone, see you this evening!

..is there a fitness centre near you @Former-Member ? I read yesterday they have finally proven benefits of having regular saunas.
they clain the effect is similar to doing aerobic exercise, and most benefit comes from doing at least 4x week, plus you live longer yay
I've not done it in years, but used to do 10mins, shower, repeat 3x , then try and build up to 30 mins in one go lol.
I had eye check up yest, sight in right eye is getting way better with age , left one not so, they were similar 10 years ago , can do like 5 more lines with right eye now
ok am short sighted and age changes to long sight, so my eyes still defective, and old, but needing glasses less and less ha.
also forgot was told have cataract, but they said its tiny, prob need op when 80. I said I wont be here then anyway the way I'm going.
Told someone picking stuff up again today. I'm really over this driving with trailer deal, cant see it to reverse properly as it is low and narrow. I just need a lounge and a few cupboards now, dunno . maybe I could just pay hundreds to get a futon lounge delivered

@TAB yeah agree with saunas. I used to swim and sauna at the local university pool. Cant do it anymore due to diabetes. Extreme heat and cold push up blood sugar. I have learned that recently. At the uni they had both a dry and wet sauna plus spa. I used to go there regularly.
Great news about your eyes. I have to book an appointment soon and get my eyes checked. Over 50 you have to have them checked every year or so. So have been very good with that. Did not like the optometrist tried to rip me off by getting two glasses done instead of one. I told him I was on a disability pension. It was a money grab. Will not go back. The last lenses I got were progressive lenses. I wear blue light blocker glasses to protect my eyes from the screen glare from the internet.
Yes a bit of a conundrum carting used furniture all over the place. We used to hitch trailers from petrol stations if I needed anything. My ex was driving so I don't know how hard it was to drive with it but we managed to get from A-B. These days I just go with removalists and folks with vans off of gumtree. I noticed there were a few local delivery services in my area but gumtree is full of them. I don't quite know what you do. Once I hailed a taxi van to transport some chairs back to my place from the Salvos. Its hard having to make urgent decisions when your situation does not allow it. Futons are very expensive now. I checked prices on Back to the Futon several years back and they were really pricey. My last futon was made out of solid wood and lasted close to 30 years. Whatever your decision I hope it works out but annoying yes.
The power outage hasn't happened yet so I'm still online
