Re: Good Morning

Hello the lovely @Meowmy I don't have a wood heater. I am into "preparedness" like the Americans do in case of the grid infrastructure goes down. Have heard we may be short of gas this winter. We had a big gas crisis many years ago in Victoria and there was no gas. People had to get by and use electric skillets for cooking and even pay to use a shower in a neighbours house if they had gas hot water! Capitalism! In case of this I have a portable electric hotplate if I can't use my gas stovetop. If that isn't an option burn firewood under one of these, that is why I am collecting wood ❤️:

Check out the EcoZoom Dure Rocket Stove! https://amzn.to/2M1ZxKV Rocket stoves are efficient by design but tend to run hot. They are in fact so hot that they can be unsafe. The EcoZoom Dura solves this issue with a well-insulated combustion chamber that not only makes the stove safer, but more ...

Re: Good Morning

It was really bad in Europe last winter going by reports @Meowmy but I did read in The Age that the weather wouldn't be as wet here, don't know about coldness though. Thats what they said.  I'm about to head off for a walk. I hope you will be ok at work today as I know youve ben struggling lately.

Morning forumites

Off to a writers festival. Via coffee

Will see someone I met overseas a few years ago when I was looking at moving there to teach

I think it will bring a sense of closure to that chapter I once opened. Appropriate then it is at a writing festival about books lol.

See you round forumites

Re: Good Morning

Good morning @TAB @MDT @Former-Member @StuF just back in from my morning walk. Contacted the library for a book on mining for crypto. Arranged for an interlibrary loan on a new book! Exactly the one I wanted YAHOO! Saved a bit of money not buying off Amazon. Want to sign up to Monero crypto so am opening a wallet with them. Its good having economies outside the Fiat system so you aren't dependent on mainstream currency if the economy goes bottom up.

So glad I did not go Bitcoin due to privacy issues. I know people were making money off it but no privacy with transactions.  Will check out another crypto today, theres someone I follow in the health industry that does interviews with interesting people on his podcast channel and theres a new crypto thats come out which has a lot of advantages going by what he said.

Will be blanching some leftover vegetables to freeze and next week cooking all the vegies I blanched so will save money on next weeks produce shop. Bought a stack of eggs as I want to bake bread this weekend and use up my stash of bread flour

Re: Good Morning

it wont end well, just leave it with them @MDT  just does not work. My best friend was same. now hes backed off Trump but I take it with a pinch of salt..

Re: Good Morning

I do silver can't afford gold @TAB every month I put aside money to buy silver. I know its more volatile than gold but its better than nothing. Heard government was confiscating gold/silver from people during the great depression.  Its hard doing its anonymously however.  Have seen a new multimillion dollar business switch to a newer variety of crypto. Will look into it.
